25.01.2022 Wazza, Rocky and Ned hooning in their temporary new paddock while spraying is going on A few hours later they had such full bellies they could hardly move

21.01.2022 Beautiful rain to keep the grass ticking over followed by some calm sunny weather, fat happy horses on early spring grass

18.01.2022 New arrival Suzie isn't as keen as her new paddock mates Silver and Roo to go for a hoon in the spelling mares paddock. This one is also for very good doers who don't need a huge amount of feed to stay in good condition, Silver will come out of here soon enough as her weight gain has been high in a short time frame A maximum of four horses in these large paddocks ensures the ground feed lasts as long as possible

18.01.2022 Cross Country Hire is available on Saturday 23/2/19, water will be in the jump Times free from 12 noon (morning sessions booked out) .....$30 per rider per hour Negotiable time frame if you need longer at no extra charge Take advantage of our training course in a low key quiet environment... Bookings essential, Sunday can also be made available if numbers are warranted

17.01.2022 Vacancies for new breakers to be started, weaning, weanling handling, young horse ground work and float loading available.... pm or phone for bookings or to discuss your individual needs Reasonable, affordable prices Get your horses off to a great start in life

16.01.2022 The broodmares and babies in full view from the house, perfect to keep an eye on them around the clock. There are 2 more large paddocks either side of this one, with ample ground feed. Supplemented with pellets daily, all in great condition without hay

15.01.2022 Pregnant, lactating and growing horses A cold damp day after an inch of rain, great for the grass....our land is as far as you can see in the vid. Pasture is about to go woosh, roll on the middle of August! If you have young or breeding horses, retired companions, spelling - short or long term.... there's another 80 acres of country like this behind the view ... Private individual large day paddocks with full management also available Vacancies available, room for 10-12 horses. Message or phone for all enquiries

13.01.2022 Water jump goals

12.01.2022 Late in the day, welcoming new agister Katifa who was very sensible about exploring her new paddock

11.01.2022 Vacancies available at our great new location - Hillclimb Road, Mount McKenzie (between Eden Valley and Angaston) Formerly Pleasant Banks and Meadowbank Agistment, we have moved to best suit our horses and owners Most suited to retired or long term spelling agistment, all horses are in groups catering to their needs Managed by Qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse ... Feeding/checking/rugging daily are all included in the reasonably priced weekly fee (feed at owner's cost) Regular farrier, worming, veterinary services and transport if required. Hay delivery available during late summer/autumn (some are doing well enough on the ground feed ) Large, outstanding safely fenced paddocks, well maintained, improved pasture with regular paddock rotation ensures ground feed almost all year round Feel free to contact us for more details

11.01.2022 Early morning paddock checking, spraying almost completed.... Nothing better than seeing weeds turning into dead ones Well almost nothing - a hot air balloon in the distance made the picture completely beautiful on a gorgeous Sunday

10.01.2022 The 'Jenny Craig' paddock which is very large The grass is weed free and kept quite short on purpose as not all of our spelling horses need rocket fuel for feed. Our paddocks have responded well to the recent rains and are simply too much good feed for these types of horses Castlebar Phite (brown) is now 22yo and has always been a very good doer, she's my ex Endurance competion mare and I even struggled to keep her weight appropriate to her sport when competing for 6 years co...nsecutively Sarah (chestnut) also gets very fat easily and is best managed in this type of paddock Sheep have just been in here for a few days and the bare ground is only at the top near the trough, there's a nice amount of short grass over the rise down to the far fence line Also doubles as a haven in the event of a grass fire

10.01.2022 Superb quiet, safe surroundings

09.01.2022 New arrivals Terry and Red enjoying the freedom of their spelling holiday in the Barossa Valley Vacancies are currently available catering from aged retired horses with special feed requirements to young spellers who need some mental downtime

08.01.2022 No bridle and keen as punch to nail every obstacle

07.01.2022 Making good use of the yards in each paddock, the end of a productive day trimming with a bonus spectacular sunset

06.01.2022 The sun popped its head out for an hour or so this afternoon for a terrific photo shoot...finally Red the chestnut mare is in the Jenny Craig paddock with a few of her rounder friends Happy horses in the peaceful and safe environment ... Retired or spelling agistment only Feel free to message for all enquiries
