25.01.2022 There will be no market in September due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. The Meadows Memorial Hall Board will convene in Sept to discuss the October market.

20.01.2022 OUR MEADOWS MARKET VISION After reinvigorating and bringing the meadows market back to life earlier this year, our plan is to turn this now monthly market into a place maker event for the beautiful town of Meadows. This market has plenty of potential with a beautiful hall and surrounding land to grow, and we would love to see it grow into one of SA’s largest hills markets, with a focus on community, local produce and stallholders selling a wide variety of items.... We would love to see as many people as possible support this vision either by attending, following us on social media or even coming along as a stall, as we look to the future of this fun hills event. Stay tuned as we will be releasing information about some special and themed markets coming up.

19.01.2022 An Update from the Hall Board The Meadows Country Market will remain closed as it stands after our board meeting tonight. A healthy discussion about its return was held and we are investigating the best options for the Hall, the stallholders and the local community of Meadows. We are arranging meetings with Mt Barker Council to discuss plans about events moving forward.... We understand that there are people interested in its return, but please be aware that our decisions are made in consultation with regular stallholders and other stakeholders. 19.01.2022 MARKET UPDATE At the Meadows Memorial Hall board meeting tonight the reopening of the monthly market was discussed. There is no set a date for reopening due to ongoing restrictions for operating inside the hall.

Whilst our market usually is below 500 attendees, our insurance broker has advised us that we are not covered for any liability to run events if a situation would occur due to COVID19... 10.01.2022 UPDATE ON THE MEADOWS MARKET At present paperwork and logistics are being finalised for the NEW meadows market to recommence with a new, vibrant and fresh feel. We have also been spending extensive times working on a formula that will grow the market into a thriving attraction for the area and hills. We are excited to see that the Meadows 4 Day Easter Fair is proceeding and will be having an information stall in with the Easter Fair to help with questions and enquires for... the new market. At this stage we are looking to commence the market post Meadows Easter Fair, to allow time for us to get the format right, and not confuse people with promotional material overlap between the two events. There is also structural work that has to be completed on one of the market buildings which we would rather be completed prior to its commencement, so there is no building site element to the market or hazards. 06.01.2022 **EVENT CANCELLATION** With a heavy heart, the Meadows Memorial Hall Board would like to advise that due to the escalating situation with COVID-19 or Coronaviru...s we have no choice but to cancel the 2020 Meadows 4 Day Easter Fair. The news today about major events need to be cancelled from PM Scott Morrison has made the decision final. The Fair has faced adversity before and continued to operate but this situation is too much of a risk to public safety and the safety of our dedicated volunteers who have spent months planning for the Fair. The close quarters of the Easter Fair would be too much of a breeding ground for the virus if an infected person were in attendance and we would not want to cause a further spread to the most vunerable in our community. Stallholders who have been approved to attend will be refunded in full for their site fees and further details will be sent out in the coming days to arrange this. Please be patient as we have over 100+ stallholders to contact and other organisations to notify as well. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thankyou all for your support over the many years and we promise to return in 2021 with another wonderful Easter Fair! 01.01.2022 There will be no Country Market in October due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. The hall board is working hard to bring the Market back as soon as it is safe to do so, in-line with the current SA Covid-19 guidelines. The hall board meets again on the 13th Oct and a decision will be made regarding the November market.
