22.01.2022 Our warm thanks goes to the Palm Lake Raffle Committee who recently gave us a generous donation! The money was immediately put to good use in purchasing a much-needed meet slicer for our Hawks Nest Kitchen. We live is such a fabulous, supportive community and couldn't function without its wonderful help.
22.01.2022 Thanks so much to Loren from Woody’s Nursery who today donated lots of buckets of ready-to-bake cookies to us! Our special clients (and they’re ALL special) might get a nice surprise with their meals soon .
21.01.2022 Here are a couple more photos of our excellent volunteers! Andrew Watson, Di Easter and Al Tarlington. Congratulations on 10 years fantastic work with us!
16.01.2022 The well-being of our beautiful volunteers and clients remains our number one priority here at Meals on Wheels - hence, mask wearing is becoming normal! Here's Em and Roz dishing up delicious Corned Beef ready for this week's delivery. And thanks so much to Christina, a very handy volunteer, who has made 40 reusable masks for any volunteers and staff who'd like one.
12.01.2022 All our volunteers are fantastic - but we want to especially thank Christina (centre) for making a bunch of wonderful new aprons for our kitchen. Here are Wendy, Christine, Christina, John, and Fred modeling just a few.
10.01.2022 This week we hosted the first of 3 morning teas to say "Thanks" to our volunteers. Certificates for 10 years of faithful service were given to Diane Easter, Allan Tarlington, and Chris & Andrew Watson. Special mention was made Lyn and Roy Day, who continue to deliver meals with around 170 years between them! Roy won't mind me saying that he is 94! (and still driving ) Well done to both of you! Perhaps you hold the record for the oldest deliverers in the country!
02.01.2022 Many thanks again to our local Men's Shed for the work they did for us in the kitchen. Here's our committee member, John Turnbull, handing over a certificate of thanks to Michael Bright and John Adkins.
