25.01.2022 A R T I S T P R O F I L E This lovely Banksia Montana illustration is by designer, Coralie Peters. The Australiana Colouring Book project was particularly close to her heart, as her hometown of Mallacoota in Far East Gippsland was decimated by the catastrophic bushfires of New Years Eve 2019. Along with her cousin Jessica, Coralie recently started Bowmans Native it’s another passion project which utilises land in Bowmans Forest that’s been in her family for four generations. This past autumn they planted hundreds of natives which included various wattles, banksias, eucalyptus and waratahs. The cousins will be supplying the region with locally and sustainably grown seeds, cut flowers and foliage in the very near future.

25.01.2022 Have you ever set yourself a challenge soooo massive that you wondered if you could even do it? People with a disability or difference face HUGE challenges in their lives every day, yet with determination and grit they can, and do achieve great things. They are the inspiration for my HEARTWORK Project for this year, and so far I’ve been pushed waaaay outside my comfort zone. I am not a writer, yet I decided that writing NOT ONE, but A SERIES of children’s books would be a goo...d idea. Up until now I have spent my time researching and learning about various disabilities and differences; as well as writing, editing, getting feedback and editing again. At this moment I have four *AMAZING* stories drafted, and have almost finished the editing process. I’ve always believed that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and I encourage EVERYONE to dream big and try doing something challenging for a change. You might just surprise yourself! 21.01.2022 I have BIG plans for this year, my 10th year in business ! I plan to bring more meaningful design into your life (as always), and to continue my HEARTWORK - doing creative things that help people and have a positive impact on our World. Stay tuned, I can't wait to share more with YOU!

20.01.2022 I'm very excited to tell you that this year my HEARTWORK Project is focused on raising awareness for children with a disability. These kids face hardship in their everyday lives, and like all kids in Covid times, have missed out on valuable social interaction with their peers. The huge task I’ve set myself is to write and illustrate a series of story books; with the aim to show all young children how to make new friends, and to educate them about how to interact with somebod...y who may do things a little differently. These story books will be interwoven with practical advice to help our kids learn to connect with each other, and to be kind and accepting of the differences that make us unique. It is so important for children to learn how to form relationships with many different kinds of people, so they can grow up to be caring, tolerant, and accepting adults. I have a lot to learn to be able to complete this project, so I need your help! If you or someone you know would like to share information or their experiences in this area, please tag them here or encourage them to get in touch.
