18.01.2022 Silence in the age of noise. A fascinating read / listen with Erling Kagge. From the ABC story: 'It's tempting to think of silence as simply the absence of noise something that's empty, and amounts to nothing. But for Kagge, the opposite is true. "Silence is something, and it's rich; it's a quality. It's something exclusive and luxurious and a key to unlock new ways of thinking," the Norwegian explorer and author tells ABC RN's Saturday Extra. It's also something that can s...eem out of reach in the modern world, where switching off and slowing down can feel like radical acts. But Kagge's style of silence is there all the time even when you're surrounded by noise. It's something we all have inside ourselves, waiting to be explored.' https://www.abc.net.au//explorer-erling-kagge-lis/12596282

16.01.2022 We love this idea, as there is a triple benefit! When you buy a cloth face mask from Older Women's Network NSW you are doing three things: financially supporting homeless older women; empowering the work of the network to advocate on behalf of older women; and protecting yourself and others. What could be better than that? Check out the masks at: https://ownnsw.org.au/project/buy-a-mask/... #stopthespread #seniors #ageing #community #meaningful
16.01.2022 Insight 5 from our new resource, Leading the Elephant. Inspired by Appreciative Inquiry (AI), we've adopted a more positive approach to change management, which encourages any change to be viewed as building on past and current successes and strengths, rather than problems to be solved. Participants in AI tend to find it a relational, meaningful and valuable experience, which encourages collaboration, creativity and innovation. https://meaningfulageing.org.au/produ/leading-the-elephant/ #leadership #agedcare #seniors #spiritualcare
