24.01.2022 Had to say something on this magnificent day. Hi everyone. Just tidied the kitchen and, watered the front garden. Sitting outside now in the sun with a cold drink, no breeze, patting the dog. I'm conscious of the birds going about their work and of my own calm stillness. Just a sense of real gratitude. (I'm grateful for that.) The feeling of being present or in the 'presence' is what makes all the things we enjoy in our lives enjoyable. Not the 'thing' itself, but that feeling of not needing to think or worry about today, yesterday or tomorrow. In that moment all that doesn't matter. Just the present. Great feeling. 14.01.2022 A good friend of mine (Craig) sincerely believes that we need to get through this time with the best outlook we can. There are still tough times ahead and the uncertainty makes it a little daunting. I do however think that the right frame of mind will get us a better result each and every time. 13.01.2022 Hi everyone. Good morning on a quiet, cold eerie like Saturday. The other side of all that's happening and will happen, is the gift of altered time we've been given. It isn't the way it was, everything has paused, stopped or on slow motion. If the PLAY button was pressed today, and we were somehow taken to a time where things are the old 'normal', what stories of the shutdown could you tell? The 'Covid' gift my family and I have been given, is that of quiet conversation, lon...ger phone calls, reflection and memories shared about our parents', grandparents' and loved ones' lives, and the sadness we feel they are not here. And then, we smile and remember their words, their warmth and their encouragement. We realise we are their story, now. The joy of grandchildren, and the unforgettable words that we have had time to say and actually hear. 'Covid gifts'. Words such as 'Thankyou', 'I appreciate it', 'Are you ok?' and 'You know I love you, don't you?' will stay with us now forever, irrespective of what the future holds. For this I am grateful. 07.01.2022 Action Indoor Sports Tullamarine is back in action with Indoor Footy and Soccer. We had the pleasure of designing, manufacturing and installing their new signs this week. The outdoor tough vinyl prints looked great on the top sign and fascia, panels applied to the metal frame supplied and installed by us, not to mention, the one way vinyl on the two front doors. A big thanks to Brett and the team, who asked us to mention that they would love to see you all down there supporting a local family and business. Good people! We officially finished off our Meant2be year yesterday with lots of order collections, last-minute client discussions on their needs for 2021, then deliveries to Wallan, Craigieburn, and finally Packenham. (Lucky we're good at what we do, as we wouldn't make a very good transport logistics company.) On behalf of our team (Elizabeth, Sofia, Heath, and I) and family, we sincerely thank you for your support and friendship. Everyone will have a (different) story to ...tell about 2020. Long and the short is that it's been the best and the worst of times. Our story is that we made it through, not least because of our customers' belief and continued support. Thank you! Have a rest for a few days. Think about less and enjoy the sun on your face, listen to the sounds around you, and savor a cold drink with people you actually like! 03.01.2022 Morning all. Unfortunately it often takes a tragedy or an unexpected event for us to be stopped in our tracks long enough to consciously reflect on how we conduct ourselves and our lives. Behaviours and habits learnt over years of repetition, will only change or be questioned, challenged or re-affirmed at these times in our lives. Equally so, when the economy begins to falter and our day to day is limited to at home isolation, we quickly begin to see what is intrinsically i...mportant. These crisis points give a simple, quiet clarity. I think that the virus has given us a number of precious gifts. A gift to appreciate the fragility of our existence. A unique, once in a century opportunity to truly feel part of our local village and the entire earth. Because we're all facing the same 'enemy' , we feel unusually united across the globe. The gift of knowing we could lose loved ones in a moment (and many have) and therefore feel more connected and desperate to care for the ones we love, even more so than ever before. The most important point here is, that it is a unique time of reaffirmation and confirmation. It gives us an out of body experience to look forward to our life's end performance tally. Our 'Brownlow count' or a look at how that tombstone dash between birth and death dates stacks up on our report cards. We have been given the gift of all external things being paused and deferred long enough to make an assessment of our lives. This is a miracle!! It has forced us to revisit only what is needed, and NOT what is wanted. Our needs are few, our wants are many! This virus is a catastrophe and a blessing all at the same time. I hope we all come out of it as better people with a renewed passion for life, people and country. The dawn of a new era in Australia. I know my family and I are getting ready. Take care all.
