02.01.2022 We wouldn't have achieved this great outcome without your support! Dear Peter, On behalf of Cancer Council thank you for participating in Mystery Box Rally 2019! The rally raised over $1 million - what an accomplishment! You should be very proud.... As a result of your amazing fundraising efforts, we’re closer to the cancer free future we are all striving for. The funds that you’ve helped raise are making an incredible difference. Each year, Mystery Box Rally continues to help fund Cancer Council’s research into all types of cancer. For instance, my team of researchers is focussed on finding the best ways to reduce the impact of bowel cancer. Using our innovative predictive modelling platform, we found that almost 84,000 lives could be saved by 2040 if participation in the free, national screening program could be increased from 40% to 60% of eligible Australians. This work informed a major investment by the Australian government to promote the National Bowel Screening Program earlier this year. The $10 million campaign has the potential save tens of thousands of lives. Peter, thank you for your support, our ongoing research would not be possible without you.
