Since taking over on the 20th Dec, we have met many locals who have been very encouraging and some travelers who declare they will be back. ...We are very fortunate to be continuing on with many established staff, menu flavours and relationships founded and nurtured by Bibi , thank you Bibi It’s been an interesting time to consider a cafe, in a small town, and at this time where many have questioned the logic That said I’m a local, a community man and certainly passion driven! So with that comes an inevitable jumping into the fire Anyway, I love a good yarn but would prefer a sunburnt tongue than a sore thumb so I’ll get to the update.. We have tested several new flavours and ideas and these are the ones that are the most popular and will remain as an addition to the menu Burgers $10 Portuguese chicken burger Baby Rae’s wagyu beef burger Lamb with our special sauce I’d also like to put a menu item as a tribute to Bibi’s hard work and dedication to the shack as we know and love it today, after all I wouldn’t have this opportunity without Bibi’s help and support so.. I’d like (with Bibi’s permission) to put on.. Bibi’s Breakfast : a big breakfast of bacon, eggs 2, toast, tomato, onion and a sausage with a big cuppa $20 Tonight marks our 1st night of the new year and our second night of woodfired pizzas. I have welcomed Francesco as our new addition to the team. Francesco is as authentic as they come, born and grew up in Italy and raise on woodfired. He has followed his passion of cooking as a pizza chef which has enabled him to travel the globe and evolve his trade and practice his art of pizza. Francesco and I will be on the ovens at the shack tonight delivering his authentic Italian neapolitan Inspired woodfired pizzas! The artisan pizzas will be topped with the produce from our local Italian importer, Emporium Aquila in Coolum, these ingredients which just cannot be substituted with our local produce (climate etc) Our pizzas will also be a regular offering to us Beerburrumites and will hopefully draw in visitors to taste Italy from our town. I am tirelessly trying to put together a very convenient food and convenience delivery truck to service our community and neighbouring towns of Elimbah and Glasshouse, we are delivering now but more to come with this. Your up to date with what’s going on at the shack!
