04.01.2022 Where to park at Mechanos IF you’re heading to Mechanos Wings and Wheels this Saturday please be aware that detours are in place. Entry for vehicles will be via Leisure Street only as upgrades are currently being carried out along Casey Avenue.... There are four parking options for Mechanos including the carpark near Mackay Aero Club, the two carparks off Leisure Street and a fourth on Bridge Road, behind Mackay Basketball Association. Pedestrian access will be available via Casey Avenue, adjacent to BB Print Stadium, for those parking on Bridge Road. Council will have traffic controllers in place at the Leisure Street and Bridge Road intersection for the event. Mechanos Wings and Wheels will be held on Saturday, August 11, from 9am to 4pm, at the Old Mackay Airport Terminal Building, located off Casey Avenue. The event will feature aerobatic stunt planes, unique cars and motorbikes, kids rides, roving entertainment, mechanical technologies, hot rod alley, skydive displays, planes, boats, go-karts, RC’s, drones, custom engines and more.
