21.01.2022 PREMIERSHIP DECIDER | Whoever wins tomorrows match between the undefeated Brisbane Boys College (BBC) and St Josephs Nudgee College puts one hand on the trop...hy; even with a loss next week, they will be guaranteed to at least share the Premiership. If BBC triumph, theyll secure only their second ever Premiership, and their first since 1954 (which was the only four-way tie in GPS history). In the other streamed matches, both Southport and Churchie will look to stay in the hunt as they are hosted by Ipswich and Toowoomba. This will be HUGE.

08.01.2022 GOOD SPORT PARENT VS BAD SPORT PARENT WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

08.01.2022 Congratulations Maya - Hotondo Homes Hammerheads Player of the Week!

08.01.2022 We have extended the sign up time by a week to allow more participants to sign up (I am looking at you Victoria Police - actually all police)! We have a small (...but very much loved) group who have signed up and we would love to see more. So far LETR Qld appears to be likely to win the friendly competition with most number of kms completed (I think we have 2 participants) and it will be a tight race between Australian Federal Police and Queensland Police Service as to who takes out the most kms (again - there may be only two of us so far). Please feel free to tag whichever group you belong to (or flick me a PM and I will do it) so we can see who may "win" a certificate of appreciation for most time or kms covered by a specific group. Law Enforcement Torch Run - South Australia; Law Enforcement Torch Run NZ (our overseas brothers and sisters can join up); Law Enforcement Torch Run (NSW) for Special Olympics; Friends who like Law Enforcement Torch Run (NSW) for Special Olympics; Law Enforcement Torch Run - Victoria, Australia; Law Enforcement Torch Run -Western Australia; QLD Special Olympic Golf Team; Special Olympics Australia; Special Olympics Hunter Valley; Special Olympics Redlands; Special Olympics Gold Coast; Special Olympics Logan; Special Olympics Bundaberg; Special Olympics Moreton North; Special Olympics NSW & ACT; Special Olympics Tasmania; Special Olympics South Australia; Special Olympics Victoria; Special Olympics Western Australia; Special Olympics Queensland - Fraser Coast Region; Special Olympics Queensland; Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - QFES Queensland Maroons; Queensland Reds; Brisbane Broncos; Brisbane Heat; Brisbane Lions; Queensland Lions; North Queensland Toyota Cowboys; Brisbane Roar FC; Gold Coast Titans; Queensland Firebirds; Gold Coast United FC; Brisbane Strikers; Olympic FC; Moreton Bay United FC; Sunshine Coast Lightning; Gold Coast Knights F.C.; Logan Lightning FC; Brisbane Bullets; Brisbane Bears; Queensland Bulls - we would love to see some of the sporting clubs sign up and show encouragement to the Special Olympic athletes This event is open to any person (young or old). You don't have to be into sports as even going for a walk counts. You don't have to be affiliated with Special Olympics or Law Enforcement. I would love to see the different policing portfolios challenge each other - will the bicycle patrol do better than the mounted patrol or better than traffic or general duties? Will the detectives do it better or will Crimes scenes or specialist areas run away with the certificate of appreciation? The more we raise, the more awareness we raise! We love our talented Special Olympics athletes...they are the reason we do this. Medals and Ribbons Australia - can't wait to see the finished product Dean Karnazes - would you like to sign up and help support Special Olympic athletes in Queensland? My bling is as pretty as the bling you got from Blackall but easier to get than running 100kms in one day! :)

07.01.2022 Good News! Becoming part of a Queensland club has never been easier! Triathlon Australia have announced they are offering a 35% discount on TA memberships ...to all new members from January 1, 2021. That means no need to pay one day memberships from January 1 until June 30, 2021, as well as full member benefits until June 30, 2021 including full insurance while training and racing Oh and of course that means you get to join one of the incredible tri clubs in Queensland, learn from the best and become part of the tri family! Stay tuned for more information to come in December.
