25.01.2022 One of MEDEVAC.FLIGHTS’ recent medevacs has been featured as a case study in International Travel and Health Insurance Journal’s latest Air Ambulance Review. 20.01.2022 Border closures, travel bans, and mandatory quarantines have made transporting patients more challenging but we are still flying! 14.01.2022 In some countries, the ambulance service vehicles are a bit different to what we are used to at home, but our medical team always makes it work. Troopers fitted out as ambulances are useful when unsealed or uneven roads are more the norm than the exception! #ambulance #aeromedical #nurse #medical #supertrooper

14.01.2022 As today is International Nurses Day, we’d like to acknowledge all our amazing nurses for the crucial work they do during medevac transfers. Thank you to all the nurses who care for us and keep our loved ones safe every day. Happy International Nurses Day! #InternationalNursesDay

13.01.2022 When you’re wondering is travel insurance worth it?, weigh up the small cost of buying travel insurance against the massive costs of a medical emergency overseas http://medevac.flights//07/why-travel-insurance-is-essent/

12.01.2022 An unusual sight as our team touches down in Avalon on a mission to repatriate a patient from South East Asia.

11.01.2022 A very early start for our medevac team this morning but as usual, they're all smiles! Repatriating a patient from Fiji back to Australia.

10.01.2022 What a way to watch the sun come up - somewhere over the Pacific! The pilots we work with are just as important as our medical crews and we’d like to thank them for the amazing job they do in helping us bring home critically ill or injured patients. #airambulance #medevac #pilots #aeromedical

08.01.2022 All set up and ready to fly this patient home. Great work team! Although I think Owen needs to work on his #selfie skills!

02.01.2022 We recently upgraded our transport ventilator to the Hamilton T1. Our medical staff were also given training on this new equipment during our recent staff training day. While most had previous experience using the ventilator in their hospital and helicopter roles it is important to regularly go over skills and assess competencies. We also utilised the device for the first time during a recent medevac when we retrieved a paediatric patient from Singapore. The Hamilton T1 combines the functionality of a fully-featured intensive care unit ventilator with the compactness and ruggedness required for transport.

01.01.2022 Our medical team was lucky enough to have a bit of spare time in Portugal during a recent commercial repatriation. They took advantage of this by sightseeing and tasting the local culinary delights!
