Sometimes your ad may fire when someone searches a keyword or keyword phrase similar to one you are bidding on. This can happen on broad match, broad match modified or phrase match keywords. ... For example, if you were bidding on "red toyota in perth" as a phrase match keyword, it is possible your ad could fire if someone searched "auction red toyota in perth". If your ad has no relevance to an auction, then it is possible you would not want your ad to fire or be clicked on. As an agency who manage multiple client Facebook advertising accounts, weve taken a look at the new interface to understand what it means for advertisers.... Firstly, the new interface is bigger. There are less posts above the fold, so for advertisers that means there is less real estate. This will drive prices up as advertisers fight for the attention of users. How to combat this? - Advertisers need to hone in their targeting to at very minimum maintain current ad spend ROI. - Ensure remarketing audiences are fully utilized. - Create better ad content that engages users (catchy copy, to the point video are a must). - Experiment with adsets that solely focus on Stories and Instagram for ad placement. - Businesses should become more involved in Facebook groups as these have been given greater prominence on the news feed. -------------- Change in this industry is constant and whilst it disrupts things initially, were confident that Facebook has made these changes to create a better user experience which will only entice more users to the platform thus it will continue to be an effective channel for advertisers.
