09.01.2022 Meet the Media Mentors Denise & Esther share why they are committed to sharing their knowledge with others and helping creatives create! Denise: My Scottish-born Nana used to sit on the end of our beds as kids and make up amazing stories - transporting us effortlessly to new worlds created in her imagination. I didn’t realise then I would become part of an industry which took stories to the world or how much she had given me to help create those stories. My career has been... shaped by so many different role models. Iv'e learned so much and it's time for me to give back and share my knowledge and experience. Esther: As a kid I used to play Play School. My bestie and I would line the younger kids ups and make them be the audience whilst we were the ‘presenters’. I never thought working in a creative role was a realistic goal for me. But through determination, support from some incredible industry people, bloody hard work and a hefty dose of luck I’m building a career which works for me and I want to be able to do that for others.
