In speaking with Julie and Darren (Julie's husband and co-founder) at that event I was struck by their story and determination to provide on-demand concerts to every aged care home in Australia. Their passion for their cause was infectious and our team at Medi Australia were eager to jump on board to provide support during their development stage When Covid-19 hit, and aged care homes went into long-term lockdown we immediately reached out to The SeniorsChannel knowing that residents would be in even greater need of the interactive programs that were in production. We upped the ante and provided sponsorship to assist The SeniorsChannel to fast track their development. We have plans in place to provide our support for both the residents and the aged care industry. 13.01.2022 Lymphedema does not discriminate - @balanced.bybianca shares her Lymphedema journey: If you look closely, you will see it. Nope, not a stain on the couch. Hint, it’s one of my arms. That’s it, my left arm... the compression bandage. Although it’s not noticeable in this photo, it certainly attracts a lot of attention in person. I have been fortunate enough that I haven’t had to wear it too often over the last year, but there was a time I needed it more. On humid or low cloud... days and when travelling (especially flying). Before I realised that; too much salt, synthetic citric acid, preservatives, processed food, not enough sleep, mouth breathing, fats (including good), sitting for extended periods, not resting enough, using my arm too much or too little, a bump or nick on the arm and sleeping in a position that restricts lymphatic flow were exacerbating the swelling in my arm. I am writing this because much of the aforementioned may directly affect others, even those without the potential for extreme swelling. This is why I am so passionate about sharing what I have learned over the last decade. See more

10.01.2022 Parkes Weber Syndrome, a rare, uncurable congenital condition causing abnormalities in the blood vessels, creating a situation where one limb may appear larger than another. Canadian Isa-Bella Leclai has been living with Parkes Weber Syndrome since birth, and has been wearing compression stockings since she was 8 however, they didn’t help much with the level of lymphoedema she had. After discovering medi compression stockings, she’s never looked back - The compression garment that I wear the most is the skin coloured one. I live in Canada and it is cold most of the year, so I am always wearing long pants that mostly cover the compression garment. I also wear the black ones a lot under dresses. I generally wear the bright coloured one during summer with shorts and dresses.
