25.01.2022 We have changed our free service offering and also our subscription plan. As before, any user can look up current fees for free, but now you will need to subscribe to look up fees from previous months. 24.01.2022 Happy New Year to all our users! Medical Fees Online was updated on 1 January, 2017 to included the updated fees for those AHSA health funds that use Access Gap Cover, and the updated fees for WorkCover NSW. Medical Fees Online now also shows a total of the fees in the results page (thanks to Mark for this suggestion). Finally, our apologies that we neglected to post announcements on our Facebook page after the updates to MFO in November and December. November saw a significant number of new and deleted MBS items, while December had only one new item but an update to the WorkCover QLD and the WAGMSS fee schedules. 17.01.2022 Medical Fees Online has been updated with the available fee schedules commencing from 1 July 2016: MBS (and MBS-derived schedules), AHSA, BUPA, Comcare, HBF, Return to Work SA, TAC Victoria, WorkCover NSW and WorkSafe Victoria. We expect DVA, Medibank Private,NIB and HCF to release their updates in the next few days.

14.01.2022 Private health providers should note that from 13 February HBF will be using the AHSA schedule of fees for medical services provided in all States and Territories except WA, which will continue to use the HBF fee schedule. This means that outside WA there is no distinction between 'Fully-covered' and 'Opt-in/Opt-out' practitioners from this date. Also, GMF is owned by HBF and all its members will become HBF members from 13 February.

07.01.2022 Medical Fees Online has been updated with the latest MBS which commences from 1 May, 2017. This update was only announced and released today so currently no health funds have released updated fee schedules. We will update MFO over the coming days as fee schedules are released. 03.01.2022 All funds have released their 1 July updates now except HCF, and these have all been included in MFO. Hopefully HCF will get their act together and release their update shortly.
