23.01.2022 Thank you so much to our wonderful supporters. As a result of your kind donations, these beautiful children have been given the gift of hope and health this Christmas, having clean drinking water for the first time, dramatically reducing the risk of suffering from preventable water borne diseases. Your support has had a sustainable impact on over 5000 people, with the water also being used for livestock and to irrigate crops. Thank you.... https://medicalmissionaid.org.au/... #medicalmissionaid #health #sustainabledevelopment #Thankyou

18.01.2022 What an amazing, inspirational team at the Lalgadh Leprosy Hospital in Nepal. Their purpose and mission is to serve people affected by leprosy, neglected tropical diseases and other diseases of poverty, focussing on the needs of people with disability, and those who are marginalised and impoverished. MMA hope to support this wonderful hospital this year by providing funding for staff training, including providing skilled birth attendant training for several of their nurses. 15.01.2022 Episcocare, our project partner in Egypt, is providing excellent health and first aid training to Sudanese refugees. The project has proven to be extremely effective, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, as trained refugees have played an important role in not only preventing the spread of the virus, but also in educating other members of the community. If you would like to contribute to the work of Episcocare, please visit https://www.givenow.com.au/medicalmissionaidinc

13.01.2022 Old age, leprosy disabilities, blindness, food-shortage, the monsoon, a disintegrating house, and COVID-19 anxiety and lockdown makes life so very very hard for this beautiful couple. Lalgadh Leprosy Hospital (LLHSC) in Nepal serve people like Marichman and RadikaMaya every day. After a medical checkup for both with X-Rays, and blood tests and restoring the sight in RadikaMaya’s messy infected left eye, the wonderful staff gave necessary medicines, a change of clothes, glasses, pension funds (which they receive monthly from LLHSC), a good meal and a cup of tea and took them back home. Medical Mission Aid are so privileged to be able to contribute to the amazing work of the team at LLHSC

11.01.2022 Medical Mission Aid would like to congratulate Amani on finishing his degree in Audiology! There is a high prevalence of ear disease and hearing problems in the DR Congo, and a severe shortage of audiologists. Amani is the only qualified audiologist in his province - what a difference he is going to make to so many lives!! MMA is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to support Amani in his studies through our medical scholarship program, and we would like to wish him all the very best in the years ahead!

07.01.2022 World Health Day has been celebrated on the 7th of April since its inception in 1948. This year’s theme is to build a fairer, healthier world - reducing health inequities globally. Medical Mission Aid believes that every individual has the right to have access to healthcare, irrespective of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition. We are committed to contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly targeting goal 3 - good health and ...wellbeing for all. Medical Mission Aid strives to do this by local capacity development through medical scholarships, support of local healthcare facilities and by partnering with local organisations in preventative health initiatives. #worldhealthday #medicalmissionaid # equality # sustainability #medical scholarships #preventative health #humanrights #SDGs #health #localcapacitydevelopment #partnership If you share our vision to see a sustainable improvement in the health of all people in vulnerable communities, please visit https://medicalmissionaid.org.au/
