24.01.2022 For our next instalment of Frank's 40 years in pharmacy, we have a great shot of Maurice Sheehan and Frank Sirianni at the Australian Pharmacy Management Championship Finals in around 1994. Maurice was the Victorian Branch Director of the Pharmacy Guild at that time. Interestingly, Frank was Maurice's predecessor in that role. For those of you that don't know Frank actually commenced his career in pharmacy at the Pharmacy Guild of Australian Victoria Branch in 1980, where he later become the Branch Director. And we still work very closely with the Guild all these years later - a great and long working relationship!

18.01.2022 Amazing few days at the Lake House Daylesford for our Women’s Pharmacy Conference! The exchange of ideas was fantastic as was the networking amongst the group. Thanks to all of the sponsors, speakers and delegates for making it such a great success!

14.01.2022 Here is the 2nd instalment of Frank Sirianni's 40 years in pharmacy celebration! This photo was taken around 1996 at our Medici Capital Pharmacy Industry Dinner. From left to right we have Dr David Cousins (Prices Surveillance Authority), Frank, John Bronger (President of Pharmacy Guild at the time) and Professor Bob Officer (National Audit Commission). The topic for this industry dinner was to discuss the competition policy debate at the time (around Pharmacy deregulation). It's amazing to think that some 20 years later we were (and are) still having those same discussions. And we still run the Pharmacy Industry Dinners to this day!

12.01.2022 In our next instalment of Frank's 40 years in pharmacy celebration, we have a great shot of Trevor Clarkin, Frank Sirianni and John Dowling at the Guild Cocktail Reception at APP at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast in around 1995. Frank has attended every APP since it commenced, so it was definitely a shame to miss their 30 year celebration this year at the Gold Coast! Looking forward to getting back on the conference circuit when we are able and it is safe to do so, and catching up with all of our pharmacy clients and colleagues!

12.01.2022 Getting excited for the upcoming Women's Pharmacy Conference Retreat being held at the Lake House at Daylesford on 26-27 May! Last year we had an amazing wine tasting at Jackalope (pictured). This year we are very lucky to be enjoying our dinner at the award-winning Lake House Restaurant.

12.01.2022 This year marks Frank Sirianni's 40th year in pharmacy! As a result, we are going through some of our archives and will be sharing some of Medici Capital and Frank's history and photos from over the 40 years. To kick us off, here is photo from the 1994 Australian Pharmacy Management Championship Awards night with Kos Sclavos and Mark Christensen. The Championship was a simulated competition that Frank & Mina Sirianni ran each year where teams of pharmacists competed for a number of rounds in pharmacy management for the wining prize!

11.01.2022 Given the Australian ski season has just started, we thought it would be appropriate to use a ski shot for our next instalment of Frank Sirianni's 40 years in pharmacy flashbacks. This photo is from the 2005 Pharmacy Study Tour in Vail, an amazing ski resort in Colorado. Frank & Mina ran the Pharmacy Study Tours for over 20 years and visited some of the best ski resorts throughout Europe and North America with pharmacists from throughout Australia. The idea was to visit pharmacies all over the globe and seek out best practice pharmacies to improve what we do in Australia. This photo includes some of our Pharmacy Study Tour regulars and Medici Capital Ski Cup winners such as Paul Naismith and Andrew Rewell, as well as Christian Sirianni.

Each year at the Pharmacy Snow Business Conference we hold a ski race to find the fastest pharmacist on snow. It is always hotly contested and a lot of fun too! This Pharmacy Study Tour was to Aspen and Park City, two amazing ski resorts in the USA in 1997. Frank & Mina ran the Pharmacy Study Tours for over 20 years and visited some of the best ski resorts throughout Europe and North America with pharmacists from throughout Australia. The idea was to visit pharmacies all over the globe and seek out best practice pharmacies to improve what we do in Australia. We're loving the ski outfits and shape of the skis in this photo. Brinley Hosking, Chief Pharmacist at Sigma Healthcare, presents on 'Profitable Health Services in Your Pharmacy'. This session includes the tips and traps of health services and how to implement new services in your pharmacy. Kelvin Suker of BD Rowa presents on the Future of Pharmacy based on BD Rowa's extensive experience in Europe. An important session for any future pharmacy owner.
