Thank you Cheryl for keeping an important record for Medimime and many other Geelong theatre companies in In the Name of Theatre. If you would like a copy, please reach out and we will pass on your details.

19.01.2022 With Medimime being unable to stage our annual pantomime this year, we are coming up with different ways to raise money for Barwon Health and the vital services they provide our community. Over the last few years, we've raised about $30k each year from our annual productions. This comes down to the generous support from our members (cast and crew), amazing sponsors and much loved audiences. This year our goal is to raise $10k (at least.) ... So, to kick off our fundraising efforts, for $30.00, the price of a standard Medimime ticket, you can become a Medimime member for 2020/21 and you will receive the limited edition member tee (pictured). To become a member and order your tee, simply head to our 'Members & Merch' page on our website (www.medimime.org.au) and complete the form. Tee offer ends 30 June. Also, make sure you keep an eye out on our page as we release additional Medimime merchandise available for purchase over the coming days.

16.01.2022 Bit of a long post but a super important message. Yesterday I received a care package including this delicious #ShakaUpForMentalHealth cupcake from the Barwon Health Foundation. Today is World Mental Health Day and the start of a national, week long awareness campaign, aimed to activate, educate and engage Australians in a conversation about mental health. The Barwon Health Foundation is committed to supporting the mental health of Greater Geelong and has launched a new soci...al media campaign to highlight the mental health issues many people are facing during the pandemic, and beyond. The Shaka Up for Mental Health campaign is encouraging people in our community to check-in on mates and help raise much-needed awareness and funds for vital mental health initiatives at Barwon Health. What can you do? Check-in on a mate this week, send a Shaka Take a selfie of you doing the Shaka Upload onto Facebook or Instagram and tag #ShakaUpForMentalHealth Tag a mate that you are checking in on If you can, make a $5 donation to support mental health services in Geelong. For more information and to make a donation, head to www.shakaupformentalhealth.com.au #Medimime #BarwonHealthFoundation #BarwonHealth #Geelong
16.01.2022 Tonight would have been the opening night of our 2020 production and even though we cancelled our season early in the pandemic, our preparation started long before that. Each year we work with the Graphic Design students at The Gordon to produce our artwork, we give them a simple brief and let their creativity and imagination do the rest. Here are the submissions from the class of 2020. Which one is your favourite? ... Don’t forgot you can still help raise money for Barwon Health by heading to https://www.barwonhealthfoundation.org.au/general-donation and making a donation. #TheLittleMermaidGeelong #Medimime #September2020 #BarwonHealth #BarwonHealthFoundation #GeelongArtsCentre #LimelightScripts
12.01.2022 With the most recent announcements from the Federal and State Governments regarding the roadmap to a COVIDSafe Australia and the staged approached to easing restrictions, Medimime now have a clearer view of our immediate future and what is achievable. Medimime has made the difficult but essential decision to cancel our 2020 production of The Little Mermaid, which was due to be staged at the Geelong Arts Centre in September. Unfortunately, with the ongoing restrictions on gat...herings and the continuation of social distancing, our ability to audition and rehearse our production in time to take to the stage in September has been limited. This is a heartbreaking decision and one that we did not make lightly. Whilst this will be the first time in over 35 years that Medimime will not present an annual pantomime, it is important that the health and wellbeing of our audiences, our cast and crew, volunteers and the wider community are put above our production. Even with the cancellation of our production, we are committed to finding a way forward that will allow us to still raise much needed funds for Barwon Health and the vital services they provide our community. Further details about how you can support Medimime will be made available after our Annual General Meeting later this month. We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank the production team for The Little Mermaid, who commenced working on this pantomime many months ago, thank you for your commitment and for the wonderful ideas you brought to the table. Stay safe and well! We thank you for your continued support during this unprecedented time and look forward to seeing you all again soon, in person, when we are a COVIDSafe Australia.
