17.01.2022 A MEDI to help you SLOW DOWN to SPEED UP By creating space to slow down we become more relaxed, clear and responsive. By placing your attention on slow motion movements it draws your mind to experience the present moment. Slowing everything down, supporting the mind and body to relax with this awareness, grounding your energy by dropping you into your body. ... In that space, with this simple practice of slowing our movements down, you lose resistance and interrupt frenzied thinking. Breathe deeply through the nose into the belly. Longer exhale through the mouth. Keeping the breath moving in a steady wave - in and out. Your body is relaxed. Focusing on the slow movements of your hands and the energy and sensations you feel there. Controlling your movements. Nothing else matters than the movements of your hands. As you bring your hands together feel the energy you held between your hands flow over your entire body. Grounding, centering, energising you. As you bring your hands together honour this present moment. Honour yourself. Take some time today to slow down to speed up. I sped this medi up .. but I’m practicing the full one in my Facebook community today. Link is in my bio if you want to join me over there

14.01.2022 As trying and challenging as it can be it’s also rewarding and the most fulfilling part of my life to raise my beautiful children, who are growing into my best friends. I’m also so grateful to have this woman @airyfairydancewear as my mother in law, friend and cheerleader by my side. For over 25 years she has guided and loved me.

12.01.2022 Breathing technique to use when stressed out. Hand on heart. Hand on belly. Become aware of your breath. Are you breathing just to the chest? Does the body feel tight and restricted? ... Now deep breath in through the nose as you count to 4. Draw the breath all the way to the belly. Hold the breath in the body for a count of 2. As you do you feel the chest and belly expand. Long gentle exhale through the mouth as you count to 8. Letting go of all the air from your lungs. Feel yourself letting go of tension. Repeat this 5 more times. Each time notice the body becoming more expansive and relaxed with the breath. The exhale releasing tension and stress from the mind and body. As you send the signal to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. This little sequence moving you out of fight or flight and into calm and clarity. Love Kirsty x

11.01.2022 Avoiding burnout Stress, when not managed, severely impacts our mental health and wellbeing. But there are things you can start doing consciously, every day, to start to bring your body back into a rested, calmer state. Take charge of your wellbeing and start 2021 with some daily intentional self care practices to reduce your stress and feel more relaxed and calm. ... My top 5 practices for each day 1. Ground and centre your energy. Walk around barefoot on the grass/earth for a few minutes each day. 2. Get enough sleep. Ditch the phone and tv at least half an hour before bedtime. 3. Connect. We thrive with human connection. Make time to reach out and be with people who make you smile and belly laugh and feel good. Stress can have you feeling like that’s the last thing you want. But the minute you do you’ll realise just what a stress reliever it is! 4. Move your body. Just 30 mins a day of movement can boost your mood. Make this time non negotiable and hit a class or go for a walk and soak up nature. 5. Practice controlled breathing throughout the day. Take a moment now with me. Put your left hand over your heart space, right just on your belly under your navel. Inhale through your nose for a count of 3. Deep breathe all the way to your belly. Feeling the belly extend. Hold the breath for a count of 2. Now a longer gentle exhale through the mouth for a count of 6. Continue this steady wave of in and out breath 4 more times. Notice how your mind and body feels. This simple practice, on its own, has supported you to lower your cortisol and bring your body into a rested state. I hope this supports you today!

SMALL breaks have a HUGE impact on your productivity, stress levels and the energy you have at the end of the day to go home with. ... Try scheduling in a 2min break every 40-60 minutes and see the difference it makes. #mindfulafinlifeandbiz #workplacesolutionswithteamko #mentalhealth #mindfulbiz #smallbusinesssupport #femaleentrepreneur

06.01.2022 Don’t forget to just breathe today. For 5 minutes train your mind and body to just observe. It’s ok to have nothing to do, nowhere to be for a few minutes. To create some space for stillness so you can find your centre again.
