21.01.2022 Calling all Tempranillo fans! Make sure you try the Meehan Vineyard Tempranillo at our 2019 Mediterranean Festa at McIvor Estate on April 13. It's rated in the VIC Top 100! The fruit in this wine is grown in the north of the Heathcote region where the climate is closer to the warmer home of Tempranillo, in Spain. ... Taste the explosion of complex cherry, herbal, plum and spice flavors on the palate, a beautiful mouth-feel, and a full flavored finish. Come and enjoy the wines (and the company!) of all 8 vineyards in attendance, delicious food, music and games. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the gate, includes entry and a Riedel wine glass. 18.01.2022 SPECIAL FESTA WINE LAUNCH Our friends at Vinea Marson are getting very excited about our 2019 Mediterranean Festa at McIvor Estate, as they will be launching their 2018 Prosecco and 2016 Friulano #7 - a skin contact white made from one of the indigenous varieties from Friuli, north-eastern Italy where Vinea Marson's winemaker and founder Mario's parents were from. Both of Mario's grandfathers grew the variety so the family is very excited to launch their second vintage of ...this exciting wine. They'll be complimented on the day by their Grazia - a white blend of Pinot Bianco, Malvasia d’Istria, Friulano and Picolit (named after Nonna) a dessert wine - all part of our program to pay tribute to Vinea Marson’s heritage in the north-east of Italy and embrace these eclectic styles in the Australian setting. PLUS - it wouldn't be a Heathcote region event without the Red Italians! Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and a delicious dry Rosé. **Sangiovese was the reason the family moved to Heathcote and has of course been embraced by many of our fab Med Festa wineries over the past 15-20 years and really epitomises the potential of Heathcote for these varieties and the Festa will show the diversity that can be achieved from this variety. Book your ticket for April 13 and try these yourself: http://bit.ly/2019FestaTickets

17.01.2022 Welcome back for the forth year, Syrahmi and Foster e Rocco will again be pouring their wines this Saturday at our Mediterranean Festa. Winemaker Adam Foster says We wouldn’t miss it, it’s a fabulous event celebrating the diverse varieties we produce in Heathcote. Adam will be pouring a range of wines including a Sangiovese Rosè, a traditional style Sangiovese, Mourvèdre, and Grenache.... Adam is quite a versatile lad, who has always had an interest in food and wine. Whilst spending many of his years as a chef in some of Victoria and London’s best kitchens he also maintained an interest in Front of House activities particularly the cellars and wine lists! In 2002 Adam decided to give up ‘chefing’ to immerse himself in his lifelong passion of winemaking. Since then his experience in the industry has been quite diverse and somewhat unconventional. Adam loves a chat so make sure you visit him at the stand to hear all about his story on how he went from Chef to Sommelier to now living on a property in Tooborac, where he and his family have recently planted a vineyard and build a winery.
