25.01.2022 GAIL'S PERSONAL DBS EXPERIENCE Gail Ford has been a client of MediWatch since 2013.She is a fiercely independent woman who has traveled the world including Russia, also published her own book and raised over $5000.00 her chosen charity https://thelureofrussia.com/ In 2010 at the age of 70 yrs, Gail was diagnosed with Parkinson's and found by 2017 @ the age of 76 yrs old her heavy dosages of Parkinson's drugs were no longer working effectively. Gail then sought the help of M...edical specialists in Sydney and had 'DBS' Deep Brain Stimulation, late in 2017. Gail is extremely happy with her outcome and wanted to share her experience including her procedure before after & costs involved. This is Gail's story written by Gail, we are lucky enough to be able to share Gail's story on her behalf. https://www.mediwatch-canberra.com/gail-s-story-dbs/

25.01.2022 Would you pay a small fee to have your balance tested? Giving you an early indication you're at risk and having the opportunity to seek professional advice of how to avoid a fall? Even giving you the opportunity to have safety measures in place before its too late.

24.01.2022 You dont need a personal alarm ...until.. You trip and unable to get back on your feet. You slip in the shower and unable to get to the phone.... Your mobile phone is inside when hanging clothes outside and lose your steeping. Accidentally locking yourself out of your house with no way of getting back in by yourself. Your landline phone is at standing height not closer to ground level( unreachable) Unable to communicate due to shortage of breathe or medical emergency. Sudden unexpected medical emergency. Waiting to see if your condition improves before calling for help, but waiting too long to dial 000. We can call family ,Ambulance or both, in any preferred order. When calling an Ambulance we can notify them of your condition, if known, give them your address, inform them of allergies, direct them to your lock box for entry to your home & inform a loved one an ambulance has been dispatched.

01.01.2022 What is a personal alarm? Personal alarms or medical alarms are small devices used to notify nominated contacts or Ambulance in case of an accident or emergency. They need to be worn at all times and can quickly and easily help someone call for help if they are injured or have fallen and cannot get back up on their own. Personal alarms or panic alarms can be particularly useful for seniors or if you have elderly parents or grandparents who do not require assisted living help, but maybe at risk of falling or having a medical emergency. Personal alarms can also be used to monitor, those with mobility issues or those recovering from illness or surgery. The right personal alarm can give both you and your loved one more freedom and security.
