17.01.2022 A great example just why we ask that you don't light up when the conditions are dry and windy.... note: this excerise was done in a controlled area with fire trucks on hand to put the fire out.

16.01.2022 Please don't forget that today is a SEVERE Fire Danger Rating which means a TOTAL FIRE BAN. Lighting a fire during a Total Fire Ban can carry a hefty fine and in some circumstances even jail time. Attached is a worksheet with some Total Fire Ban information.

15.01.2022 So we are on alert again for POSSIBLE thunderstorms.... It may not happen but hey... it doesn't hurt to be prepared

12.01.2022 Once again we have a severe weather warning, with strong winds building through Thursday and then easing Friday.... Along with the wind the rain is on it's way (See the radar link below) http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR043.loop.shtml#skip Remember the cardinal rule.... BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.... Please take care on and off the roads

11.01.2022 Todays Fire Danger Rating is "Very High" this means that ALL permits have been suspended for 24hrs (starting from midnight last night to midnight tonight) if you see a fire that is not being attended by an emergancy service please call 000

10.01.2022 Some heat relief is on it's way in the form of a southerly change.

07.01.2022 Ok so Mother Nature ignored us... The temperature is set to rise and along with it the wind speed, making for a "Very High" fire danger. ALL PERMITS ARE SUSPENDED for tomorrow.

04.01.2022 Yep we can hear it coming.... please be mindful of anything that can be picked up and sent flying by the strong winds and please take it easy on the roads....

03.01.2022 A Great man and well deserved. We thank him for all he's done.

02.01.2022 Thankfully the "Severe" weather has passed without much fuss. Tomorrows FDR is back down to Low Moderate... however please consider when lighting a Pile Burn that 1. you must have a Fire Permit to do so and 2. Study the weather patterns first... if it's still very windy we ask that you put it off for a calmer day.

01.01.2022 Bit of a scary moment one of our members had this morning... Big Thanks to Dylan Stuart for relocating our little friend. Remember... they don't want to hurt you, all they are looking for is somewhere warm, a bit of food and a mate. It is illegal to kill a snake so call a professional like Dylan to come and look after them for you.

01.01.2022 From Midnight tonight for 24hrs ALL fire permits are suspended due to a Very High Fire Danger. If you do see a fire unattended please Call 000
