24.01.2022 The paramedic, who is being treated in hospital, is the first paramedic in the state to be diagnosed with COVID-19, NSW Ambulance confirmed. Health Services Union secretary Gerard Hayes said the risk of COVID-19 infection added another layer of stress to the job of paramedics as potential exposure to the disease was a "risk of every job they do". "COVID-19 is a serious virus, but it does not stop the fact people are still having heart attacks, having strokes, and car accident...s," he said. "The day-to-day life of paramedics continues, and this is just another level of proactive focus they need to bring to their job."

23.01.2022 We have been saying for some time now - if you do NOT do any testing, then, of course, you will get great results. If you dont believe us, then here is what Dr Andrew Miller, President of the Australian Medical Association WA had to say today; "Until we get our testing rate much higher, we cant be super confident that our numbers are as low as what we think they are." https://bit.ly/COVID-Services

22.01.2022 The CAPACITY to learn is a gift; the ABILITY to learn is a skill; the WILLINGNESS to learn is a choice. - (Brian Herbert) If you teach First Aid, Emergency Response, Medic or Paramedicine then ALWAYS be WILLING to learn.

22.01.2022 "Increased testing will help us better understand the scope of infection, but it is clear this pandemic is still only beginning to unfold." Short article but well worth the read on early herd immunity against COVID-19.

21.01.2022 Todays office. #PoliceFirstAid #firstresponder #waterpolice #AdvancedResuscitation

21.01.2022 A great reminder of a very important skill - education for everyday First Aid. We have been delivering this workshop since January 2016 (almost 5 years) and it would be impossible to teach without the use of the Traumasim wound packing modules and tourniquet trainer. Thank you to the TraumaSim Group team - impossible to teach this skill effectively without your products. #StoptheBleed

20.01.2022 Its a great day for learning to save a life #firstresponder #stopthebleed #firstaid

20.01.2022 Australias leading provider of First Aid and Emergency Medical Education and services.

20.01.2022 Photo from a local Perth hospital history cabinet. It appears that smoking was NOT allowed during meal times.

20.01.2022 The passion of being an EMS Educator its what we do.

19.01.2022 Our very own Stop the Bleed program has already saved lives. More on that story soon For anyone who does not understand Stop the Bleed - This is an international CAMPAIGN (not a course) lead by the US Department of Defence (since 2015) for which we have an exclusive agreement for a period of time to "roll-out" education throughout Australia. The COURSE is a MED Response product delivered by registered health care professionals with international EMS Educator certification ...including Trauma [PHTLS] and Tactical [TECC] instructor certifications. This means that we have undergone specialised international training and professional development on the use of arterial tourniquets and haemostatic dressings. Our course is evidence-based where it exists (educational and medical) and is focused on response in the civilian setting (not military or tactical). It will always be the right training with the right equipment that will save lives.

19.01.2022 Australia's leading provider of First Aid and Emergency Medical Education and services.

18.01.2022 Check out these awesome photos from the great people at TraumaSim Group. I was adjudicating the patient with an open femur fracture and arterial bleed. Without the realism provided by TraumaSim Group it would have been impossible for the teams to realise how hard it actually is to STOP the BLEED.

17.01.2022 MOTORCYCLE SAFETY WEEK A big thank you to the WA Road Safety Commission and the Motorcycle Riders Association of WA (MRAWA) for sponsoring today's Rider Down - Fast Aid for Motorcyclists. Together we can save more lives

16.01.2022 MED Response CEO is a member of the Australasian College of Paramedicine Rural, Remote, and Community Paramedic SIG. Providing a strong voice and supporting the private paramedic sector in a 25+ year pursuit to recognise the paramedic practitioner that works in a non-traditional ambulance role. A strong voice since 1998 and the creation of two companies: Medic One & MED Response.... Not the cover but we will take it

16.01.2022 Humans are often taught but they do not learn. As paramedic educators, our students must not only acquire considerable knowledge and skills, they must also master the concepts so they can apply them quickly and accurately, often in uncontrolled and unpredictable environments. Our goal, therefore, is to teach students the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours required of a competent responder. The MED Response standard = Registered Paramedics, current in our profession with international certification as EMS Educators

16.01.2022 COVID-19 Workforce Airport Screening - we have the right tools for the job. #nocovid #fifo #healthcare

16.01.2022 Our socials may have been quiet over the past couple of weeks but behind the scenes, we have been super busy. We will have some major announcements happening in the near future with training and as of Monday, we are back taking care of the Film and television industry. Our experience working behind the scenes takes us back to 2007 on the set of the movie Australia where we worked with Baz Luhrmann, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. This production may not be so epic but we will still be working with one of Australias biggest and well known award-winning production companies.

11.01.2022 ALWAYS work with reputable organisations who are registered health care professionals. Unfortunately, the industry in which we work have individuals who have no concern for quality, ethics or values. Thankfully, the regulators intervened in this case and were able to remove the fake kits from circulation and fined the woman.
