19.01.2022 What does MEE stand for? I get asked this question alot. When I first started MEE Active I knew I wanted to serve womxn with all of their fitness & exercise needs.... We took a turn at albercurkie somewhere & MEE Active became so much more than fitness & exercise. From womxns health & wellbeing, to lifestyle medicine, to joyful movement, shunning diet culture, ageism & pushing back against the go hard or go home mentality we have come a longggggg way from our inception in 2013. So what do we do? ~ Support womxn with their overall health & wellbeing with a big focus on midlife & beyond (peri to post menopause) & help them understand their mind/body/soul better. ~ Support womxn who have pelvic organ dysfunction to find movement that works for them ~ Support womxn with other chronic health conditions find movement that work for them ~ Support Nervous Newbies with movement to just start & find their can ~ Support over 50 womxn & men find fitness & social connection with our @activehealthygc group fitness & cognitive function classes ~ Build communities that are heart centred & judgement free Yet the MEE still stands the test of time & all of these changes. It stands for MOTIVATE ~ EDUCATE ~ EMPOWER I think we do that beautifully.



18.01.2022 My coaching clients received a gratitude journal from me at the end of the year. Studies have suggested that diarising just a few quick words on why you are grateful every day can have a huge influence on how happy and positive you are in your daily life. I have been practicing journalling for a number of years & find it really helps me compartmentalise my thoughts & allow me clarity. This is one of my lovely clients sending me a photo of her entry and I am really happy to... see she is using her journal. 05.01.2022 And we are back!! Welcome to our new followers, hello to our amazing community & who's ready to jump right in on 2021? Ok, so that was a tad exuberant & maybe you are just being a little turtle & sticking your head out every now & again to start the year off? Hey! Thats ok too, we are here to support & help you no matter where you find yourself. ... For those that don't know me I am Rachelle, a 48year old mumma to my son who is almost 22 & my slightly smaller daughter who is 15. She will be taller than me any day.....not that that is very hard. At 5 foot 3 I am a little pocket rocket when I want to be and a sloth when I feel like it. I am a Womxns health & movement practitioner, female health & performance coach, fitness professional, Exercise for the core & pelvic floor coach, mental health first aid trained and have done an array of other qualifications I can't quite remember now. My jam is Core & pelvic floor exercise coaching, supporting midlife womxn and beyond with lifestyle strategies to help them live well & making movement accessible to all. My extraordinary hubby keeps me on the straight and narrow & from jumping in head first to things I haven't possibly thought through well & he heads up the admin & business department of @meeactivembl 3 things I loath ~ Diet culture (robbed me of too many years) ~ Humans who are quick to judge others on their appearance (why do we do this?) ~ Custard 3 things I love ~ Seeing people achieve things they thought they couldn't ~ Learning ~Teaching What you can expect to see when following ~ Science & evidence based "health" ~ How to enjoy exercise with pelvic organ prolapse & other chronic conditions ~ Joyful, varied & modified movement for different bodies ~ Womxn helping womxn flourish ~ Push back against diet culture ~ Push back against ageism ~ Lifestyle medicine strategies stress, sleep, hormones, bone, heart and brain health, midlife etc ~ Resistance training & why it's essential for every midlife & beyond womxn ~ Fur baby spam Speaking of fur baby spam, show me your fur or furless baby/babies!!
