21.01.2022 A pod of dolphins came past Meelup this morning. They were splashing around a bit before they left the bay. They came back in the afternoon as well. So grabbed the closes board and chased them out to the shark receiver. There seemed to be few babies amongst them. #dolphins #sup #meelup

14.01.2022 A keen group of paddlers came to Meelup for the maiden voyage of their poly pipe sup / kayak. Constructed from 7 lengths of 100mm poly pipe and clamped together with some wood and screws. It wasn't light and took four blokes to lift it off the car. It seemed to go ok, but most importantly they had a laugh. The said they make some sort of vessel every year, with the card board constructed boat the most successful.

14.01.2022 Winter days fun. My first wave with a gopro strapped to the front of SUP board. Rocky point was small and breaking close to the rocks, but it was fun and I was the only out. Even though my Sunova Surfboards Sup is really light, I think my arm stretched about an inch on the 1.5km walk. Paddle back with the wind was much easier.
