21.01.2022 Hold on....! thanks for this https://www.facebook.com/WickhamMusicFestival/

20.01.2022 JT, 12 years ago today, in 2008! that first gig you played at Meeniyan bless my soul that first gig! You sang a song about wandering just knowing you would get there one day! You took your time a comin'! You told us about Jack your beloved Grand Daddy how he taught you to smell the roses. Your Ma Carol back in Tennessee. Townes, Hank, Sleepy John Estes, Lightnin Hopkins "My Starter Won't Start" You played rhythm bass and lead on your guitar (many people threw away their gui...tars that night!) said Jim Beam is not Bourbon. You sang about a new love in Auckland. That house in New Orleans.. When you closed that first gig (you brought us closer) of many you came off that stage near three hours after you had jumped up there. Brother, You had preached the gospel of love. You stood tall on the meeniyan stage like a warrior of love! Its sad you've moved on but your memory lingers here on the Meeniyan stage and in our hearts XXXX When I think of you I am reminded of a song Gillian and David sang on the Meeniyan stage a lil before you: Elvis Presley Blues I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died Just a country boy that combed his hair And put on a shirt his mother made and went on the air And he shook it like a chorus girl And he shook it like a Harlem Queen He shook it like a midnight rambler, baby Like you never seen, like you never seen, never seen I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died How he took it all out of black and white Grabbed his wand in the other hand and he held on tight And he shook it like a hurricane He shook it like to make it break And he shook it like a holy roller, baby With his soul at stake, with his soul at stake, soul at stake I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died I was thinking that night about Elvis Day that he died, day that he died He was all alone in a long decline Thinking how happy John Henry was that he fell down and died When he shook it and he rang like silver He shook it and he shine like gold He shook it and he beat that steam drill, baby Well bless my soul, well bless my soul Gillian Welch

09.01.2022 Sharon Jones I love the smaller clubs. I love the theaters. I love the festivals. There are things I don't like. At certain theaters, people can't get up and dance Sharon Jones ... May 4 1956-NOVEMBER 18 2016
