25.01.2022 Meeniyan Community Garden Makeover. After 5 years success operations we are in process of upgrading the garden. Communities are strong and resilient when they are bound by a series of connecting ties and bonds. The Community Garden along with a range of other organisations, churches and club are part of the fabric of people that makes up and connects Meeniyan into a community. People love the garden, particularly our scarecrows!... + words by Andrew McEwan, 24/10/20

16.01.2022 Hi All, I’ve recently moved to the area and am doing some gardening/landscaping of my block. Is there anyone local that needs some casual work? I have all the equipment and usually would do it all myself but age seems to be creeping up on me. Interested, PM me

12.01.2022 It's been a little quieter than usual in the streets of our little town this time of year, but that certainly doesn't mean there's nothing going on! We have businesses keeping our smiles wide and bellies full with take away meals, such as Moo's at Meeniyan, Meeniyan Hotel, Meeniyan Pantry & Cellar, Trulli Pizzeria and Bread & Pickles. Some of our gorgeous retail shops are still open for trading, including Mika & Max , Allforms of Design, Lacy Jewellery Studio, Happy Horse and... Hounds and The Outer Space. And of course we can't forget that the guys at the Meeniyan IGA are doing a great job as an essential service, the team at the post office and chemist have been flat out, the girls at Catherine's Hair Techniques have been busy as always and the Great Southern Rail Trail is an ever popular choice for exercise! Whilst Pandesal Bakery and The Meeniyan Store are currently on their annual winter breaks, we're looking forward to seeing them back in action after some well deserved r&r! (Please note the Art Gallery and op shop are also closed). We love the people and businesses that are the lifeblood of this little country town, and, like the rest of the state, are all looking forward to sunnier days ahead! Feel free to provide any info, trading hours, kind words, etc in the comments below

03.01.2022 With Christmas coming up, it's so important to shop local, and Lacy's is one of many lovely small businesses in Meeniyan with an absolutely gorgeous range of handcrafted pieces. Pop in if you haven't before, you'll be so pleased you did!

02.01.2022 Stan Harrison, sadly passed away on Friday, Stan raised in Milford and Dunbalk North, brother to Dudley, Lindsay, Jeffery, Neita, Audrey, and Myra. Wool producer and beef farmer at Giffard West, Meeniyan held a special place in dad's heart. Always dropped in on the way to the Koonwarra sale yards, where he could be often found.

01.01.2022 Have you checked out Moo's new look?
