Due to the recent growth experienced by Meenks Ink Design we are looking for a Building Designer/ Draftsperson to join our friendly team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will work from home under the current climate, however in the future will be able to work from our office located in Mercer Street, Geelong. The Role Reporting to the Company Directors, the position is primarily responsible for the coordination of supporting documentation and the documenting and delivery of contract drawings for client jobs. Functions of the role include: Working drawings including relevant construction details and checking for developer and regulation requirements Preparing Town Planning Drawings for Council Submission Contract Drawings including producing documents as per client’s requests, tender documents and variations. Ability to take a thorough client brief Skills and Experience Minimum qualification - Adv. Diploma of building design (architectural) Previous experience in this field of work (preferred) Proven design skills (Portfolio) Strong written & verbal communication skills Sound knowledge of ResCode, NCC, Building Regulations and construction methods Proficient in the use of Revit and Microsoft Office Strong work ethic with the ability to meet tight deadlines with great attention to detail.
