23.01.2022 As you may be aware, some restrictions were eased on the 2nd of May. You are now allowed to drive up to 50km from your home for non-essential reasons. The big question is- ... "Can I supervise a learner drivers driving hours?" Answer- Yes, but only with someone from your household. As tempting as it may be for us, we are still not conducting driving lesson. We have a code of conduct we have to follow, it is also duty of care not to put anyone or their families (including ours) at risk. Things seem to be looking brighter, some of the rules don't make sense, we still need to follow them as best as we can. This one is black and white. It's not worth the risk, and definitely not worth the fine. Imagine how many driving lessons you could buy with that fine. Do the right thing. Attached is a document from the Queensland Government about staying home and going out. Many questions are asked and answered (particularly about learner drivers page 7 on the document). Have a read, keep up to date so you aren't caught out. Once we get the green light, it will be posted on our pages and we will get in touch with our students, especially the ones who had their tests cancelled. 19.01.2022 Truck driving tests are now available online. Car tests are still via application through the department of transport. Fingers crossed we won't be too far behind with online bookings for cars.

17.01.2022 To everyone who has been following and supporting us. For the safety of our families and yours, it comes with a heavy heart to say, from March27th 2020 onwards we will put a pause on driving lessons until it is safe to continue. This is in line with Queensland Department of Transport. They are cancelling all tests from March 30th 2020 for 3 months (subject to review) Hopefully we won't be gone for that long.... For anyone who has a lesson or test booked with us, we will be in touch over the next couple of days. As soon as we get the green light, we will be in touch to reschedule and continue on from where we left off. If you have a gift voucher or discounted package with us, the expiry date will be extended to suit the amount of time we have closed. We will still be here when this is all over. 17.01.2022 Some good news from Department of Transport for anyone with a learner licence about to expire: Due to COVID-19 and the temporary suspension of practical driving tests, learner drivers who are required to renew their learner licence can do so at no cost while the practical driving tests are suspended and for 3 months after. The learner licence renewal fee has been waived as some learner licence holders will need to renew their licence in order to take a practical driving test... in the future. https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/licensing/getting/steps

15.01.2022 Such a magical feeling passing your test! First go, in a manual with no errors! The nice thing about todays test, I met this girl at the very start of her learner journey and got to see her succeed to the end of it. Super proud of you and how far you have come! Drive safe lovely

15.01.2022 We have some great news (given everything goes smooth and we aren't advised otherwise ), We will begin lessons again from Monday the 25th of May. Thank you for being patient and sticking by us! Cars are still being disinfected after every person.... Driving tests, they are still paused for cars until the end of June. Truck tests will commence from the 25th but they are working through the backlog of cancelled tests. Hopefully the car tests will come back early like the truck tests. We still can't physically book any car tests at this stage, the page on the TMR site is "blocked ". As soon as we find out, we will be in touch with anyone who was waiting for their test. If TMR contact you, let us know so we can book you into our system. A reminder, if you are sick, please reschedule your lesson. If anyone has vouchers or prepaid lessons, the expiry date has been extended by 2 months. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us See you in the drivers seat!! 09.01.2022 We have woken up to some great news! Driving tests are back on from the 15th of June!!!! At the moment you are not able to book directly online as they have a booking criteria for the back log of cancelled tests. Follow the link below to get the email address and see if you qualify.... Once they catch up, things should go back to normal again. If you had a driving test booked in and was cancelled due to COVID-19 you will be offered a priority test. The date your cancelled test was due to take place will determine when you can call Department of Transport to rebook your test. If your test was to take place on or before the 9th of April, you may call 13 23 80 to book a test from Monday the 8th of June. If your test was to take place after the 9th of April, you may call 13 23 80 to book your test from the 22nd of June. Yay!!! 09.01.2022 PHASE 2 was announced last night ( Tuesday 24th) No changes to us have been made. Thank you to all our clients for your support throughout this crazy time. We understand that learning to drive is a privilege and not essential and may have to cease operations soon. For the time being we will continue to operate until we are advised to stop.... At the moment, the Queensland Department of Transport are still conducting driving tests. This could change at any moment. In the meantime, we are disinfecting our cars after every driver, including ourselves. Door Handles (internal and external), steering wheel, indicator stalks, side mirror adjustments, seat adjustments, gear stick mirrors and seatbelts. If you are sick, have travelled recently or have been in contact with anyone that has been sick, we ask that you cancel or reschedule to a later time. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe!
