23.01.2022 Here's a copy of the current timetable. Small and intimate class sizes mean bookings are essential. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS... The SYNERGY FLOW style is gentle on your body and is a good place to start. These classes have been developed using the sequences created by physiotherapists and advanced yoga practitioners Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machlis of Synergy Yoga in Sydney. These sequences change every ten weeks and are fairly simple to follow. The modern VINYASA style is a flowing sequence of postures that builds strength and increases flexibility. It requires you to be able to hold your body weight in your arms and to place weight on your knees. At first his can be too strenuous for some people, so may not be the best place to start. To keep you on your toes, these sequences change weekly. The MINI ASHTANGA is a simplified version of the traditional Ashtanga sequence. In this class we move at a pace that effects the cardiovascular system, it is a challenging form of yoga that increases strength and flexibility. The sequence does not change, so instead of focusing on what comes next, you can focus on the meditative aspect of yoga. The best thing to do is to come along and try the classes and decide which you feel is best for you. Remember, I can tailor each class to your needs.

23.01.2022 I’m running my last course for this year. Short and sweet to help you calm and set up for 2021

23.01.2022 YOGA is full of JUICY GOODNESS. While the meditative aspect reduces stress, calms the nervous system and helps boost the immune system, the movement aspect increase circulation, helps cleanse body systems and if done correctly, improves posture. So next time you’re wondering if you should step onto your yoga mat, remember all this GOOD STUFF!!!

18.01.2022 Old injuries...I don’t know about you but my body always lets me know when the weather is changing. As it cools down my muscles and joints are less willing to co-operate and it becomes necessary warm up more thoroughly. I would suggest that you do the easier variations of each posture initially and gradually do more as your body warms up. Don’t rush into those more difficult asana (postures) either, take your time. The bodies natural stretch reflex takes 12-15seconds to turn off, this is the minimum amount of time it will take your body to adjust to any change in position. It’s once we get past this initial resistance that we can begin to stretch out and feel great. #movementismedicine

17.01.2022 How do you bring your mind into the present? Bring your fingertips together and close your eyes. Feel the sensation and notice your internal space. ... Notice the movement of your breath. Relax your belly. Be still for a moment. All the techniques we use whilst practicing yoga are designed to help you focus and let go of stresses. There's so much to love about your life if you can let go! #yogawisdom

16.01.2022 Be prepared to TRANSFORM Air is the back drop of our environment, it moves us, often without us giving it too much thought. The back drop of the mind is also like this, it's like the sea bed that directs the current but is itself unchanged. To deepen our awareness of the depth of our subconscious mind we need spend quiet time in reflection. A meditative state will help as it allows us to let go of habits and patterns. This week we begin sequences based on the @synergyyo...ga Air Sequence. "The intention with which we practice this sequence is to move the stale energy of winter, and bring a lightness to the being, increasing mobility and movement through all our systems." Level 1/2 - Monday 7.30-8.30PM, Wednesday 10.00-11.00AM, Saturday 8.15-9.15AM. Level 2/3 - Monday 6.15-7.15PM, Tuesday 6.00-7.00AM, Saturday 7.00-8.00AM Get in touch if you have any questions

16.01.2022 Yoga is better done regularly and this is the place to begin. This course will allow you the time and space to build up gradually. Whether you are new to yoga or getting back into it after a long break, a slow progression brings lasting strength and a strong foundation. Once a strong foundation is established, we can start working deeper, each class adding a little more. ... I look forward to seeing you on the yoga mat.

03.01.2022 Do you sometimes feel like your thoughts are closing in around you? I know I do! .This is why I do yoga, it allows me to transform, to bring clarity where there was one confusion. Rather than feel entangled in thought, I feel the space that is within and around me. You can imagine it as if you've been looking down for sometime and then you look up to see the clear blue sky. #yogawisdom

03.01.2022 I would love you to join me and your fellow yogi's for an end of year catch up. ... We will be going to a cafe for a cuppa and/or a bite to eat on Saturday 5th December at 11.00am. If you would like to join me and all your yoga buddies please PM me for details.

02.01.2022 Yoga is one of the most gentle forms of exercise around, but no one said it was easy. In fact it’s a surprise to many that it’s not! The deeper relaxation is done at the end of class, it’s something you work up to. Creating a beautiful balance between, dare I say, control and surrender. Have a peace filled day.
