24.01.2022 Its now officially the Year of the Pig in Chinese culture.! Here at the Farm Peifer and The Girls, Hildi and Ethyl would love you to visit them and bring along a treat in their very special year. They love apples! Pigs have a beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune in life.... The Pig is the twelfth of the 12-year cycle of animals of the Chinese zodiac in their calendar and is considered a symbol of wealth. If you are a Pig sign, it means that in the system of Chinese astrology you were born in the Year of the Pig, if you were born in 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, and 2007. It is said that: A typical Pig is likely to be known for its geniality and compassion, sometimes going overboard in its desire to accommodate. Pigs are said to be more comfortable in the country than in the city, with a taste for opulence and gourmet indulgence,
23.01.2022 Perfect day in the Megalong Valley. Sorry to say, while Sydney siders are suffering from smoke, here on the western side of Katoomba is smoke free and absolutely beautiful, with invigorating fresh air and a light breeze!
19.01.2022 Great prospects for a dry land.,good rain looms ahead. We are located in the catchment for Warragamba Dam so this is a welcome sight and this little calf thinks so too!

11.01.2022 Thanks to all the well-wishers who have been inquiring about the status of the farm in the fires. We were spared the impact of the burnt areas and still sitting untouched in the most beautiful scenery of the Mountains. The images show how the fires had impacted the south and east of the valley, but left the main part of the valley unscathed. Our Firies undertook a mammoth effort, working night and day in the most remote and virtually inaccessible gullies and ravines to put in the fire break zones that kept the fires at bay. We have really dodged a bullet! We are so fortunate that our part of the Blue Mountains was not burnt bare and now the two thunderstorms have provided much needed moisture. Our horse riding is now open and already folks are camping in a safe area surrounded by the awesome cliffs. Hope to see you all soon.
11.01.2022 I know that a lot of people love cat images, so I could not resist posting one of Bubbles our Barn Cat. She is so, so grumpy lately with few visitors to spoil and pat her. But this morning with the rain, her contemptuous expression reveals her displeasure. Bubbles usually is the most gregarious of cats and really gets full on when customers arrive. Perpetual stroking is the order of the day! We love the rain after 12 months of intense drought, but rain is not her scene.

08.01.2022 There can be nothing better to start the day with a camera to keep you company to catch the moment. Make you appreciate how wonderful it is to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, watching the animals nibbling on the fresh new shoots of spring grass. Perfect spot to relax and take it all in
05.01.2022 Huge dust storm set in yesterday. The valley and mountains were lost in the haze. This shows how really dry our inland is - a sad plight for the farmers. While we are in our little slice of utopia up in the mountains and have green pick - cant fathom how they cope. We all need to spare a thought for those inland and raise our voices in demanding that it is declared that they are suffering a natural disaster.
03.01.2022 Joseph Tams images are so inspiring to get out of the stress of daily life and discover what is around you.
