22.01.2022 Did you know that rejecting a compliment is like turning down a gift? I used to do it all the time, My hubby would say something nice and I’d brush it off. I never believed him, I’d put myself down.... ‘What, this old thing? Oh, this was cheap. Oh no, I look terrible!’ Anything to get the attention off me. I felt so uncomfortable! But I didn’t realise that by not accepting his compliment he thought I was rejecting him. So he stopped giving compliments. And then I felt much, much worse. When I finally figured out that rejection was hurting both of us, and worked through why I was rejecting his compliments, he started to open up and give them again, and I’m so grateful. I became open to receiving without resistance, without judgement and basking in the sweetness of his words. I allowed myself to believe & trust him. I allowed myself to receive & it felt so good, I wanted more! So Please, Beautiful, learn to appreciate compliments and really listen to why the person is saying them. They Want you to Feel Good You will help them feel good too by simply saying... 14.01.2022 I had to learn to forgive my flaws before I could learn to love and appreciate my body. I learned all I could about connecting mind and body. Getting ‘out of my head’ and feeling not thinking.... Moving from masculine energy to feminine energy, which is even more powerful. Appreciating everything my body does for me, all the traumas and struggle it’s been through. Removing mind and body blocks. Listening to what my body wants and what it’s trying to tell me, This is what I’ve found works for me: If you’re craving sugar, your body needs more natural foods to nourish it. If you’re aching, your body needs touch and massage. If you’re tired, your body and mind need more sleep and true, deep relaxation. If you’re angry, moody, listless, your body needs more connection to sensuality. Feed your body and your heart, nourish them, and they will fill you with happiness, energy, love and confidence. 04.01.2022 Remember WHY you started.... What is your Why? Why do you do this? Why did you start this business? What happened that made you feel drawn to helping others this way?... What do you believe in? What are your core values? Going back to our ‘Why’ may seem obvious, but how long has it been since you really looked at what is motivating you? Whenever I start to feel a little lost for direction, I go back to my list of ‘why I do this’ for inspiration. Your list may change and so it should. You are changing and growing as much as your clients. Most importantly, it’s all within you already. You already know what you need to know and it’s your job to understand more about yourself so you can communicate that wisdom to others. My Why puts a fire in my belly, it warms me and fuels me. 03.01.2022 Don’t mistake Self Improvement for Self Love. They are both equally wonderfully important but so very different. Self improvement is hard work. Working on growing and improving our self confidence, learning new skills, exercising and looking after our health are all wonderful things and completely necessary for self improvement for sure.... But Self Love is just about allowing yourself to relax. Being quiet, listening to music, napping, taking time out, allowing yourself to receive pleasure. No work, just be. It might feel like you’re being lazy at first. But believe me, you’re not! You’re healing and replenishing your energy reserves. You make better decisions and everything becomes easier when you feel calm and energised not stressed and exhausted. You might feel a deep resistance or panic & can’t stop thinking about your huge ‘to do’ list. But remember, this just as important as going to work, gym or folding the washing. It can be just 10-15 mins. You spend more time than that on Insta each day! If we don’t actually learn how to really let go & relax, we’re always ‘running on empty’. You give so much, there’s nothing left over for YOU. I was always pushing myself to get everything done- ‘Cos that’s what Mums Do, right? I thought if I didn’t stress, I’d never get anything done! Adrenaline was the only thing keeping me going. The end result though, was frequent migraines. When I pushed myself too hard, I’d end up with a migraine that would put me out of action for up to 2 days. It was my body’s way of forcing me to STOP. Now, instead of pushing so hard, I allow myself to take some time each morning to meditate, so I can start the day off calmly. I Choose to have a good start to the day. If it takes me 15 mins more to get ready, so what? If I’m feeling stressed or anxious, I take a little break. When I come back to what I was doing, I feel calmer and more focused. I make better decisions & don’t end up with a migraine! Rest & Pleasure give you happy hormones and boost your immune system. If you’re happy and well, that spreads to your family, too, and your relationships. So don’t feel guilty about taking a little pleasure time for yourself, Gorgeous!
