25.01.2022 Happy Easter I hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter at home. While Easter this year looks very different, we can still eat copious amounts of Hot Cross Buns and Chocolate, so it isnt really all bad! This Easter I am grateful for my health and the health of my loved ones. While we may not be able to tan on the beach, get together for a BBQ or go away for a holiday - dont forget to remember what we do have and be grateful for that

13.01.2022 Officially a Lawyer!

12.01.2022 This photo makes me happy and also kind of scared Today I went to a friends house where we dressed up, took photos - some normal and some like this - and laughed. It was so much fun and I feel recharged from smiling and laughing so much. Finding happiness when so much is uncertain at the moment can be difficult, so even if it might seem unusual (like wearing a tutu and false eyelashes and having a photo shoot), if it will bring you happiness - just do it!

10.01.2022 You may have seen from my post on Instagram a few days ago that I was made redundant due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I spent a couple of days processing, crying and sleeping. Today though, I cleaned out my pantry, did a bunch of washing and house work and started planning my next steps. I dont have to tell any of you how uncertain the world is right now. So, Im going to be taking things very much day by day. But I thought Id share my plans to survive this with you all, in ca...se you need some inspo or find yourself in a similar situation. 1. I will be continuing my at home work outs with @tiffhall_xo 2. I will be reading these books that I have had laying around and havent made the time to read 3. I have ordered a photo backdrop and a ring light stand for my iPhone from @amazonaustralia so that I can re-do my website photos. This is something I have wanted to do for a while and will hopefully be a good self-esteem boost to dress up 4. I am going to be doing lots of clearing out and organising - from my make up stash to my craft supplies 5. I am contemplating a podcast re-fresh and a slightly new direction because hey, I have plenty of time to ponder and plan! 6. Organising video calls with my two best girls @jacqjacqjacquiii and @m_grace95 so that we can sip drinks, eat snacks and laugh like we always do 7. Re-do of my vision board because this Coronavirus business has really thrown a spanner in the works for my plans for 2020, so no better time to re-evaluate my goals So thats my plan for surviving all the craziness that is our world right now. I am grateful to have my health and the love and support of wonderful family and friends. This will not break us #covid_19 #coronavirus #australia #brisbane #positivevibes #stayingstrong #survival #strength #unemployment #newdirection #goals #plans #planning #reading #organisation #podcast #photography #exercise #athomeworkouts #mentalhealth #friends #laughter #happiness #united #together

05.01.2022 A few months ago I decided to start a local networking event. The first comment on a post that I shared in the local community group was great idea...won’t work. I ignored this and pushed forward - planning with the Hotel despite Covid and 2 days before the event new regulations that meant we all had to be seated. The first event had almost 90 people interested in coming and I was so excited. At the first event about 20 people came, I had a great night and I was proud of my...self! Sadly since the first event and despite my efforts to promote the event with local groups and business owners - at the last event only one person came along. I sat by myself for the first 30 minutes feeling pretty embarrassed that the Hotel had reserved two tables for the event and it was busy, so people wanted the tables and I was just sitting there alone. That was Friday night. I dusted myself off and I launched my small biz so she did. on Saturday morning. My first order was a good friend of mine and I feel SO grateful to have friends who have supported me (Jess, Halia & Jacqui) and my wonderful boss, Amy. At the end of launch day I had a few orders and I was so excited to pack them and filled with hope! Sadly, no more orders since Saturday and while I know it’s only super early days, I’d be lying if I didn’t feel a little deflated. Believing in myself and backing myself to action my ideas was something I almost never did prior to 2019. I always struggled with Imposter Syndrome and anytime I had an idea I would talk myself out of actioning it by listing all the things that could go wrong, telling myself I wasn’t good enough and that everyone knew that. Fast forward through the most challenging year of my life and I came out the other side with a new lease on life, acknowledging that life is short and if I don’t believe in myself first - no one else is going to! So, reflecting on two events this weekend that old me would brand failures - new me is a little deflated but also immensely proud that I have put myself out there and actioned my ideas. Believing in yourself is powerful and failure to me is giving up before I’ve even started
