25.01.2022 Just once a week, the run . Never been a great runner even though I’ve pounded pavement for many years (these days I seek grass). I get overtaken a lot but love getting out in the fresh air, with good tunes & how good it feels getting to the end with a nice stretch. It’s good to fit in on busy days when I haven’t fit a gym session in as I am personally no good training late in the day. I used to run all the time before I fell in love with the gym just for the conveni...ence of it. I’ve been told to avoid long runs & focus on resistance training with #hashimotos - maybe this is not the same for everybody in this boat but it’s true for me if I do too much cardio it feels depleting. These days I throw an interval timer on run/ walk. I’m loving being a bit more diverse in the routine - gym, yoga & a run here & there. I have a plan & tick it off but am flexible with it depending on how I feel. Would love to add a dance class- the fun/ creative/ expressive outlet - new year new addition maybe. When I chat with clients about how to develop a regular exercise routine (after discussing specific goals) here are some things we will consider: what do you enjoy what is practical for you where will you start (you can start really small & build, usually zero to a hundred only lasts so long) what is going to get in the way & how will you work around that how will you stay accountable I thoroughly enjoy discussions on getting started on building a sustainable exercise routine & healthy lifestyle . 21.01.2022 Ahhh, these beauties. I have so much appreciation for having access to quality organic product that I can grab and carry under my arm on my way home daily. I know it can be expensive but because I have an autoimmune condition I do whatever it takes (usually, except Friday nights lately sort of ) to keep what goes in super clean. I have spent a few days in juicing on a new protocol (with plenty of balanced nutrition to go along with it) and so far feeling pretty great. 11.01.2022 Post training feels .. sitting on a box, satisfied. I really love gymtime. Waltzed in midday, nice time to be in. Current mix equals 3-4 gym sessions, 3 yoga and walking. I like to be active everyday thus some of the sessions are gentler. It’s sitting well with me compared to the days I smashed myself all the time. I’m also easier on myself within these sessions, if I feel fatigued long & intense is not what I need. Do I wish I could go back in time and change how I treated my body with my hard training and restricted calories? No regrets right (but yes).
