I’m so grateful that I have found these little gems and giving Stella what she needs to keep her healthy each day of the year These gummies are not a replacement of real , fresh , organic fruit & veg in our children’s diet . But what they do help is bridge the gap of the 5 serves that kids should be getting each day! We all know how hard that can be as mums .... ... 20.01.2022 Radiate health and vitality One week into our 6 week mini program . Even after having an amazing few days away as a family , I still managed to incorporate healthy habits and mindset . It felt so good to relax , slow down and not worry about what we had to do for the day . Stella was feeling a bit tired and puffed from the weekend that she had an afternoon nap to recharge . So what a better way to reset myself by listening to today’s self worth whisper , I radi...ate health and vitality What a beautiful way to start the week ahead Listening to today’s whisper allowed me to realise that I appreciate who I am as I radiate love and vitality See our beautiful bodies just the way they are I deserve confidence, self esteem and a supportive mindset As a mum sometimes we lose the love for ourselves , as too often we are pouring our love into our family and not us . So it felt so nice to hear these words and have a positive mindset for the rest of the day . 18.01.2022 Hidden veg sausage rolls One of my favourite lunch box snacks to make for Stella . So easy to prepare and so delish . An extra way you can get some fruit and veg into your kids. The beauty about this one is you can pretty much add what ever you would like in there to suit . 1 x carrot... 1/2 x zucchini 1/2 onion 1 x egg 1/2 cup breadcrumbs ( or alternative ) Tomato sauce Italian herbs Salt & pepper 3 sheets puff pasty Sausage mince Grate vegetables and combine all ingredients together. Cut pastry squares in half and divide sausage mixture into 6 even amounts . Roll up pastry to enclose filling , finishing seam side down . Make a cut so there is 8 even pieces and place on a baking tray. Brush with whisked egg and bake in oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown . Especially if your a busy mum like me we often just forget ! 10.01.2022 Winter days The past week has been so nice enjoying the beautiful winter sunshine Stella is almost too big for the pram now but still enjoys going for walks and looking at everything , especially the beach and the birds . ... Then when we stop for a photo oh do we have to mum but still gives me a cheeky smile . Sometimes we stop and stare at the beautiful views. The fresh air and sunshine can be so good to clear the mind and still a form of movement . I must admit I haven’t been doing much exercise lately , but even a walk feels good . 09.01.2022 Because who doesn’t love banana bread ... this week as part of our 6 week mini program #thehseofficial . How to have a healthy treat with raw ingredients and no nasties . Not only did we get to learn how to make this yummy recipe , but the education behind why the ingredients are good for us I had great pleasure in making this recipe as it was so easy to prepare and tasted so delicious ! One the whole family was able to enjoy ... 2 1/3 cup bananas 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup melted coconut oil 1 tsp cinnamon Grated orange zest 1 tsp natural vanilla extract 4 eggs 1 cup of almond meal 2 tbsp flaked coconut 2 tbsp desiccated coconut 1. Preheat oven to 200 deg c and line a tray with baking paper. 2. Peel bananas and mash in a large bowl with masher. 3. Add honey , coconut oil , cinnamon and orange zest to banana and mix well. 4. Add eggs and almond meal and combine with a wooden spoon as mixture can get tough. 5. Pour mixture into prepared pan and top with coconut and decorate with sliced banana if you choose. 6. Bake for 50 mins or until cooked through. This is one of the many delicious recipes available within the Healthstyle Emporium . 06.01.2022 Motivation Monday Day 1 of our 6 week mini program launched today I’m so excited to dive into the next 6 weeks for motivation , education and just having a better mindset to start my day with ! ... Our mini program is not like your usual challenge , this on focuses not just on nutrition and exercise but mindset , self worth and education For me , what I’m excited for is to incorporate healthy habits again by meditation self love lemon water increase in water intake Everyone’s goals are different so what’s important is to focus on where you are and what you can achieve. Start with small steps and move forward a little each day . Today’s self worth whisper ... you are so loved you are beautiful in the body you’re in you are incredible just the way you are What an absolute beautiful mindset to start your day with . 06.01.2022 Smoothie Saturday Love delicious smoothies and need to change your regular one up?? Most days of the week I love nothing more than to make my favourite combination, and Stella loves to help me in the mornings too ... Our Glow up at home mini program starts Monday ! Focusing on a different topic each day and Saturdays will all be about smoothies . I’m excited to try new combinations whilst still focusing on ingredients that help with sustainable energy. My regular smoothie combination is Banana Spinach Zucchini Almond milk Vanilla complete protein Chia seeds I also love to have this as a smoothie bowl and top with my favourite seeds and fruit . 04.01.2022 I made this delicious recipe , from the healthy treats section of #thehseofficial . Using only raw ingredients , it was easy to make and perfect to have with a cuppa or a snack, guilt free. ... 1 1/2 Cups Mixed Nuts (almonds, walnuts) 1/2 Cup Gluten Free Oats 1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut 7 Medjdool Dates 3 tsp Honey 3 Cups Grated Carrot 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger 1/4 tsp Nutmeg 1/2 Cup Water 1 1/2 Cups Raw Cashews - soaked for at least 2 hours 3 tbsp honey 2 tsp vanilla Pinch salt 1.Place nuts , oats and coconut into food processor, blend until roughly ground. 2.Add dates, honey, spices and water and blend again until smooth. It should be like a cake batter consistency. 3.Stir through carrot and pulse until carrot is mixed in. 4.Place batter into lined tin , smooth top with knife then freeze for at least 5 hours. Blend all cashew cream ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Ice the frozen cake and top with cinnamon or pistachios . 01.01.2022 Because who doesn’t love frittata? I often make frittata with whatever veggies I have in the fridge , but this time I decided to follow a recipe and turned out the best yet!! This recipe I made earlier this week from #thehseofficial and just goes to that less is best .... it’s so quick and an easy , convenient weeknight meal for all the family to enjoy . ... 1kg butternut pumpkin ( squash ) , peeled and chopped 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil Himalayan pink salt & black pepper 100g kale , stems removed & leaves torn 150g soft feta cheese , crumbled 1/3 cup Caramelised onion relish 8 eggs 1 cup pouring cream Preheat oven to 220 deg c . Place the pumpkin in a baking dish , drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper . Cook for 20 mins or until the pumpkin is lightly golden and just tender . Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 200 deg c . Add kale , feta and caramelised onion to pan and mix gently . Place eggs, cream , salt & pepper in a bowl and mix to combine. Pour egg mixture over vegetables and cook for 30-40 mins or until puffed and golden . Serves 4-6 so you can enjoy for left overs the following day . Hope you Enjoy See more
