25.01.2022 I'm not even sure where to begin... a dream came true on Thursday evening and I do believe we created a little bit of magic. This session was a long time in the making... I wanted to create a moment for this beautiful mumma to just stop and feel a sense of quiet, of calm, and to be completely in the moment with her little girl... Every day we have our busy schedules and busy minds, but we desperately need to slow down. If Covid has taught us anything as mothers, it's exactly ...that. There's more to say about all this I think, but for the moment, I just want to share some of the photographs we made, and I hope you feel the magic too... Thank you Cate xx (part 1 of 2)

22.01.2022 Things are slowly disappearing from our home... Booster seat at the dining table. Step in front of the bathroom sink. Plastic cups at dinner time.... The pram. It dawned on me yesterday, that I no longer have a toddler in my house. I have a full-blown little girl, with a fierce independence, even fiercer attitude, and bedtime cuddles that make my heart explode. Thank goodness for the bedtime cuddles. Most nights I lay with her, we talk about our day, what we will do tomorrow, what she hopes to dream about... some nights she traces my face and arm with her little fingers, some nights she wants me to be the big spoon and some nights she reaches her little arms around my neck and brings me in close so our faces touch. Thank goodness for the bedtime cuddles. As the world changes around us, she is changing right in front of us. It’s beautiful. It’s an absolute joy. It’s bittersweet. It’s heartbreaking. All rolled into one. It’s this thing called motherhood. xx

This was a significant step in my career and I'm so proud that all my hard work has paid off, and I finally had the courage to submit my portfolio and application last month, with great success!

17.01.2022 Lockdown 2.0... Two weeks in and I feel it's more challenging than last time. How are you all going? Things are quiet here, as you can imagine... I'm still here but allocating some time in my office (currently occupied by my teacher husband) is proving to be harder than I thought. My little girl is really feeling it this time. She needs more time with me, more cuddles, more questions answered, more reassurance, and more stimulation during the day... So I'm giving her everyth...ing she needs, which means I'm not being very "social" if you know what I mean... I'm around though, just quiet on Facebook and Insta... 02.01.2022 So this is very exciting! We are one step closer to being able to photograph our beautiful clients again! Still some wording to be clarified, and a few other areas that need to be sorted out, but it's an amazing achievement and I couldn't be prouder to be an AIPP member.
