23.01.2022 This is what my basics group class looked like today. Calmness everywhere. Great to see.

22.01.2022 I'll pose a question for you to think about.... Does your dog consider, or pay any attention to, the other end of the lead? That is.......you. Or, are they only interested in what is at their end of the lead. Smells, sights or getting to where they want to go. I do recommend that dogs sniff and explore on the walk (on lead), as it lowers their heart rate and blood pressure and gives them enrichment, but not at the expense of having any connection with you.... A sniffy walk is great, but you should still be able to have your dog respond to you. You may need to direct them away from something dangerous and you don't want to be tripped over as they pull from side to side, criss crossing in front of you. Or you don't want them rushing up to other dogs or people, dragging you along. This requires a good relationship with your dog and good walking techniques and practice.

22.01.2022 My basics class doing drop. This is this groups second practical lesson. Well done class. I have a new group with some spots still available starting May 1st.

17.01.2022 Here's a review that I just received; I’m so glad someone recommended Megan’s Dog Training to us and we signed up for her basics training. She not only covers the basics (sit, stay, down, etc.), but she provides each dog owner with helpful tools that can be put into practice in everyday settings. The small group setting allows for good socialisation training but still enough room for one-on-one time. Following 5 weeks of training has given me a stronger bond with my dog, more confidence to go out with him and more understanding of how best to communicate with him. Megan is a friendly and knowledgeable trainer and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

14.01.2022 I've had quite a bit of positive feedback this week. Some lovely comments from a few sources. These included today a client said to me "I always recommend you, because I trust you." And another said the other day that I was kind, and in tune with dogs. And another said she enjoyed sitting and talking dog stuff with me. Very lovely to hear and read these comments. Thank you.

14.01.2022 *EDIT - THERE IS STILL ONE SPOT LEFT* There is one spot left in my puppy class starting this Thursday night. Dogs must be 16 weeks or under at the start date and have had their second vaccination.

11.01.2022 NEW BASICS COURSE If you did puppy school and want the next level, or if your dog is over 16 weeks and you want to get great training Starts Saturday Sept 12th. 5 weeks.

11.01.2022 A funny one from last night's class. We were doing "go to mat" and a client said "I don't want to say Go to mat, because my husband's name is Matt". Classic. I'd never heard that before in all my years of training. We decided to use another cue. Lol.

11.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY REX. 12 years old today. I'm so pleased to still have you with me. You are my special dog. Our bond is very strong. The way you trust me and look to me for guidance and love is my most favourite thing in this world.

04.01.2022 A poem I wrote; I've cried ten thousand tears For months which will become years Now that you've gone away... I long for you to have stayed I feel pain deep inside A hurt that I cannot hide The day you went is etched in my mind A greater friend I'll never find The joy you made me feel The bond we had was real The trust, the love, the time I'm so glad that you were mine I'm all alone right now I miss you dear Rex, and how!

25.12.2021 My darling Rex has passed. My heart is broken. He gave me everything he had for all of his life. He gave me great comfort and companionship. He taught me so much. He got me through my professional dog training and behaviour qualification, as I used him for every video assessment. ... He came to class as my demo dog. He was loving and gentle to everyone; kids, adults, strangers. He loved people. Mostly he loved me, and I loved him. He was the first thing I thought of when I woke up and the last thing I thought of every night. The first thing I thought of when I came home. My house will be empty. My heart will be empty. Rex you were a GREAT DOG and huge part of my life. I will miss you. Thank you for being the dog you were. I am broken. See more

19.12.2021 Remembering good times with my Rex from 2018.

12.12.2021 Rex, put your harness on.

30.11.2021 Come when called through difficult distractions. Go Rex...

20.11.2021 When stay means stay. Good boy Rex.

08.11.2021 Tough times for all. I have a few classes on hold. I'm looking forward to getting these classes going as soon as we're allowed to. If you're at home, take some time to do some more training with your dog. It will be good for you and for them. In the meantime, here's me playing a bit of The Beatles "Here Comes the Sun" with Rex listening from the lounge. I hope you enjoy it. Stay safe.

29.10.2021 I have a new basics class starting next Saturday with a few spots available. Please let me know asap if you are interested, or spread the word to others you may know who could benefit from these classes.

04.10.2021 Congratulations to these dogs and their owners who completed my basics course.

21.09.2021 HAPPY BIRTHDAY REX. 13 years old today!!! My greatest comforter and support. The one who has given me everything he has, for all his life The one who I used in many video assignments and was so good in what I was demonstrating that he got me through my training and behaviour qualification The one I wake up to go out and see and come home to see every day... The one who has had some serious health issues, but has fought through The one who came to many theory classes that I taught, to help other dog owners The one who interacted with many hundreds of people, including kids, and was calm and gentle with them all Happy birthday my dear boy. I'm so happy you made it to 13. I'm here for you....

09.09.2021 Some more puppies that completed my puppy course. Well done.
