24.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS, you are engaged.... Are you planning your wedding? Have you booked your celebrant? To begin the process, you must give notice by completing a Notice of Intended Marriage (see below) form. This must be completed, signed, witnessed by the prescribed authority, and in the possession of the celebrant no later than one calendar month before your wedding.... Please bear in mind that Saturdays and Sundays during the warmer months in Melbourne can be booked well in advance. I can't stress enough how important it is to BOOK YOUR CELEBRANT IN ADVANCE to avoid disappointment. I would love to hear from you for an obligation free chat to discuss your special day. Important paperwork - Notice of Intended Marriage Notice of Intended Marriage form can be downloaded from: https://www.ag.gov.au//Documents/New-notice-of-intended-ma A completed Notice of Intended Marriage form must be given to your celebrant at least one month before the wedding. You can give it to your celebrant up to 18 months beforehand. Your celebrant can help you complete the form. The notice may be completed and witnessed outside Australia if required. Talk to your celebrant if there is less than one month before your wedding. A prescribed authority may approve a shorter notice time in some limited circumstances. You will need to give your celebrant evidence of date and place of birth, identity and the end of any previous marriages for each party. Your celebrant may also ask you to complete a statutory declaration to support your evidence.
