22.01.2022 What does the night sky mean to you? The Stellae earrings came from a place of pure love of the stars. There is always something magical about the night, when the world and the mind become quiet and the space presents to think about your dreams. I don't think I've ever heard someone say that they were star gazing and thinking about their 'to do' list at the same time. These earrings are 100% sterling silver that has been oxidised to create a black effect. The silve...r dots are sterling silver popping through the black layer on top, much like the idea of the sky being a big blanket with holes in it for the light to shine through. 20.01.2022 How do you all feel about spending money on yourself? Do you easily give yourself permission or does the guilt creep in afterwards? I would say that I used to feel the guilts a little after a lengthy justification to myself. But, over the past few years, my spending has definitely changed to Is it ok to spend money on yourself? Hell yes. I unashamedly admit that I love to spoil myself with beautiful things. I definitely by less and try to buy better when I spend. Bu...t when I chose to spoil myself I spend form a place of connection, rather than a bargain. When I see something that speaks to my gut (you know the feeling..flips, pings and butterflies) it's usually because I have connected with it. If I know that I will get a lot of wear out of it, that it will make me feel deeply happy and that it's been made really well...than yeah I invest in buying something for myself. A few things that I have bought for myself this year are, a pair of Merry People gumboots for adult puddle jumping, Kennedy Smith Candles because they smell like heaven, 5 new essential oils for my diffuser because I'm an addict to good smells, new pair of assembly jeans and some gorgeous skincare products from Finch and Wren. And I would say that all of them were bought from a place of connection and all of them have brought a lot of joy this year, and in 2020 finding some joy is a pretty big deal. 19.01.2022 One pair left. I live in my silver jellyfish earrings but I seriously love bringing that extra gold specialness to my outfit to express my inner joy. I had mine on for dinner out this weekend (collective high five for dinners out in Melbourne again) and it completely represented my inner joy of celebrating being with my friends again. Have you been able to get out with friends for a meal or drinks yet? 04.01.2022 The most common thing women say to me when they wear my jewellery is 'I felt so beautiful'. When I hear this, my internals always do flips of joy, because that is a the whole point really of my jewellery. I don't create jewellery to make you look beautiful.
