19.01.2022 It has been brought to our attention that unsubstantiated rumours and hurtful gossip is being perpetuated within the Ipswich community. While we have previously ignored such behaviour the time has come to address personal slurs that have been made against myself, my staff and our business. In the many years we have spent working and growing our business within Ipswich we have employed a large number of talented and passionate people. Some of these individuals have left our co...mpany to start their own businesses, filling us with a great sense of pride in their personal success. Former staff have gone on to open their own unique and successful restaurants across the state from the Gold Coast to Townsville. In some cases long term staff, with not so pure intentions, open a similar business in direct competition to Mehfil and continue to copy our marketing strategies (literally within 24 hours of us posting to social media) with the intention of doing harm to our business and reputation. We care deeply about our staff, our customers and our community. This is evidenced by our long term relationships with many of our employees and our ongoing commitment to assisting the people of Ipswich in many charitable ways. Business success is built on healthy competition where we are all driven to strive for excellence. Customers make informed decisions about the quality of food and service provided by the restaurants they choose to support. It is extremely disappointing when business people spread unfounded and ill-informed statements about their former employers and fellow business operators. Discussing personal gripes with staff and customers is not only unprofessional but does more damage to your reputation than to those you seek to harm. Business confidence has taken a hit in recent times with the global pandemic negatively impacting on consumer confidence. Throughout these trying times we have always remained positive about the future and focused on ensuring our customers enjoy the very finest quality food and service.
