24.01.2022 We are proud (but pensive) to launch today the second Islamophobia in Australia report. The report is 175 pages long and covers two years of data and 349 incidents from the Islamophobia Register of Australia. This report is a world first in that it reports actual cases and incidents. This report together with the first report published in 2017 cover four year period and show conclusively that Islamophobia is a social problem in Australia. ... This does not mean that there is something wrong with Australia. The fact that this problem was not there some decades ago means it can also be cleared provided measures are taken address it head on. This problem not only effects Australia as a whole but the entire Muslim community. It is important for the community to combine its energy and resources to address it with unified vision. I'd like to thank Dr Derya Iner from our Centre for Islamic Studies at Charles Sturt University for compiling and writing the report. CSU university. Also special thanks goes to Mariam Maz for founding the Islamophobia Register of Australia without which there would be no data to report. Full report could be downloaded at https://www.islamophobia.com.au/

24.01.2022 Having a deep theological discussion on our table on the importance of "repentance" in Islam and Orthodox Christianity at Catholic Archbishop's Iftar Dinner. It was interesting to find that in both believers are encourage to repent everyday. We could not resolve the aspect about how long door to repentance would be open in life when the official program started.

07.01.2022 Fraser Anning's "final solution" controversy this week showed that Muslims are treated as objects for political gain in Australia. To explore this topic, we have organised a public lecture on 8 September. I will be joining Dr Jennifer Cheng who wrote a book titled "What Australian Politicians Say About Muslims". Register using the link below. https://www.isra.org.au/what-politicians-say-about-muslims

07.01.2022 #Hanau is Germany's Christchurch. If a Muslim was to perpetrate this he would already be labeled a terrorist, but when it is not it needs to be investigated to hair-splitting degree to be called as such. Even then it would be labelled mass-murder at best!
