19.01.2022 For writing my music I use the software Sibelius. The sound of instruments on a computer can be unbearable to the ears because they are not realistic, but the performance of a piece is one hundred per cent accurate from the point of view of timing and tuning. When Vafa Mesbahi was playing Ney for the recording for the CD ‘Union’, I was following his playing and the scores on my lap top and asked myself, is it possible that a person can play so closely to the computer score! A...nd when I said this to our sound engineer, Mazyar Mortazieh, he replied, 'The sound of Vafa's instrument has another feature: usually when we record his sound afterwards there is no need to add effects or touch ups because the sound that comes out of his instrument is entirely in tune, natural, and flawless. 'When his spirit of kindness is breathed into the Ney, then the story that you hear is the story of love and pain and passion; it is the breath complaining of love and separation.' Vafa holds a Degree in music and has held countless performances in Iran. Among them, he has performed in Hossein Alizadeh's ensemble and with the National Orchestra of Ukraine; he has performed Alizadeh's piece 'Ney Nava' along with the ensemble Parsian, and performances with Homayoun Shajarian in 2013. In the following clip you can hear parts from his performance for the CD 'Union' from the album 'Faces of Love'. ‘’ (Sibelius) ( ) . ‘ ’ ‘’ ! ‘ ’ : ... ‘ ’ 1392 . ‘’ ‘ ’ .
