22.01.2022 Happy Christmas To and From everyone in Meitheal Cheoil. Here's our communal offering with sing-a-long rendition of Fairytale of New York at St Gabriel's. Thank you to everyone who took part & apologies I cut off the start (whoops), but lovely voices & great spirit all round.
22.01.2022 Really enjoyed hosting the Slow Air workshop at FFF last month, thanks everyone for coming along! Here are now both notations of the air, the plain one we started with & the full ornamented version. Enjoy! https://www.dropbox.com//The%20Banks%20of%20the%20Suir%20B Can't tell you in a million years what this pose is about in the photo. I swear Ian Fisk only entered the room for .5 of a second, just in time to catch this! He is forever catching me out, what a genius!... With Kathy Walton, Meitheal Cheoil, Ian Fisk photography.

19.01.2022 What's the best way to put music notation on facebook? I've converted James Carty PDF of Barndance to picture below - do you think pictures like this are readable for future transcripts? Whilst dropbox links are good, they can break over time - looking for something more permanent. Suggestions welcome!
16.01.2022 What is the collective noun for whistles? How about a "wonder" of whistles or a "wish" of whistles, or even a "mountain" of them? Whistles of all makes and si...zes, scrubbed up, polished and clean, all ready for children to try, including fun and games with the fipple and the bore, folk, trad and jazzy rhymes, tunes & songs. Aged 4 - 14, Sunday 12.45 Only at the Fleurieu Folk Festival, Willunga Showground. No need to bring a whistle, the mountain is huge! See more
