Haven't touched him for over 2 weeks and just popped on to have a little ride around and he was just a gem & who thought in a million years I could canter him on a 20m circle with no hands verticle horse is now horizontal and I just treasure him, he is going to make a great school master one day!

05.01.2022 A lot of people struggle with understanding the half halt and why it is so important to include this in your riding. For ages I didnt understand either and I would just hold the outside rein to avoid my horse running off, however it never worked. I have included a video of how I learnt to perfect the half halt by taking and giving, using a stress ball. I do this at least 5 minutes a day and now it just comes naturally when riding, I dont have to think about how to do it.... Create the energy and forwardness then introduce yourhalf halts to capture the energy and help the horse work from behind. Give it a try

Decided to give her a whirl bareback and get her moving more forward for Aidan as she tends to be a bit lazy and slow to respond. Such a lovely girl however, so easy to do anything with.
