23.01.2022 HOW TO PICK YOUR WEDDING MAKEUP ARTIST? Here are some of my tips: 1) Look at their work. Thats right... this seems silly but I mean REALLY look at their work. Scroll the crap out of their feed! Make sure that youve seen makeup on their feed that that you would feel comfortable wearing on your big day. Its kinda one of the most important days of your life so you want to be wearing a face of makeup that feels like you! 2) Make sure their personality is a match with yo...urs. Whilst having a MUA who does the makeup you like is important, its even MORE important (in my eyes) to have someone who is going to add to your day and make it extra special. Your going to be spending about half of your big day with your makeup/hair team so you want someone who makes you feel at ease and brings really positive (hopefully fun and happy) energy to the room. 3) Check out some reviews - whether that be on their page (Facebook or a website) or check an independent forum. I know that their are lots of private wedding groups on Facebook where brides post honest recommendations - that are NOT visible by vendors. So that might be helpful too. And thats it really....your wedding day should be one of the most enjoyable days of your life. You want to make sure you look and FEEL the best youve ever looked and with the right makeup artist for you, you 100% will!

Ive always applied my highlighter with a smaller brush to control the application and buff it into the skin to keep it looking more natural rather than sitting on top of the skin - brush is @mykitco ultra multi also helps when youve got @sophiebult to work on and @shelbygraham_hairartistry doing hair magic @theartistedit @glamazonkw @inbeautmag

14.01.2022 Been quietly sitting on these pics of @xdyll because I literally couldnt pick one but hey look I finally got there and thats what counts right? Again after MONTHS of waiting to get my hands on her face I was so excited when we finally made it happen When looking for inspo on what look to do, I was surprised (or should I not be ) how few looks there were with a soft glam style for women with very dark skin (african specifically). I found a lot of very heavy makeups, ...or very no makeup look - but few in between where there was enough to make it a bit glam but not so much that you couldnt still see the beautiful skin beneath (which I adore). Its always been important to me that you see someone like you on my page - that every person of every skin colour, eye colour, hair colour (okay I defs need some more pink hair ) is able to see themselves represented here. Because how the heck are you going to want to book someone, if you dont see someone like you on their page!? If you notice a lack of diversity on your feed - do something about it! Find a model (trust me there are plenty of women whod love the chance to be a makeup model!) and get to work diversifying your feed. If your worried you need training, go get some! Because dont you want to be part of a world where every person feels like they matter!? That they are represented!? I sure fucking do

12.01.2022 When your 17yo and dont realise you have the Unicorn Skin a term I often use to refer to those with skin so smooth, without virtually any texture or visible pores so it appears to look like youve edited it to be like that....Nope they are simply unicorns! Which by dictionary definition is: something that is highly desirable but difficult to find or obtain fact for you So whilst you might have the most amazing skincare routine in history, some things your simply born with. Which is why I always say DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET

07.01.2022 The future is so uncertain right now, if you spend too long thinking about it you might go into an anxiety spin I am doing my best to stay present in this moment and not catastrophise future circumstances... What is going on only magnifies the true lack of control we actually have over our lives. Which is why its SO important where possible to always stay present. Every day is a gift, every moment in fact...and there is always beauty to be found even in the darkest of time...s. I am so grateful today for so many things. My dogs, my family, my partner, my friends, my home (dogs first obviously ) there are so many outside of this pandemic who have so little anyway. And while the future looks so uncertain and that is stressful I very much so admit, I still hold so much gratitude for the life and people I have. Its more than some will EVER have See more

Makeup that celebrates your natural beauty, enhances all that you have and makes you feel like the best version of you! I love natural glowy makeup and I also love full coverage smokey eye glam. You dont have to box yourself into one category You can love full coverage like me and also feel comfortable not wearing makeup... 90% of the time. 06.01.2022 3 THINGS TO REMEMBER NEXT TIME YOUR SCROLLING THROUGH THE GRAM 1. Most of what you see is highly edited/filtered, do not trust everything you see on this platform. You can completely change how you look with an editing app in literal seconds. 2. If you have skin (which you do if you are humanand not an alien ) then it’s going to move and it’s not going to be perfect. Pores, hair, lines ...you name it, are all a natural part of having this thing we call skin and ...having them doesn’t make you imperfect in any way. 3. Every girl you’re comparing yourself to on the internet has their own story and their own set of insecurities (even the most ‘beautiful’ ones - trust me, they do!). Someone else being beautiful, does not mean if you look different you are not. Not all flowers are the same, yet all are beautiful in their own unique way. Remember to be kind to yourself, be your own best friend and importantly be your own HYPE QUEEN. You are fabulous and deserve to feel it
