25.01.2022 Connection // the strong geometric pendant light in black is connected to the black sliding doors through at the back of the home. Make sure when your eye links these two features... that you finish the connection with a bang consider what you see through the glass.... plant a feature tree or put a large pot with a feature plant... highlighting something in the landscaping with a spotlight that aligns through the view... it’s these small details that elevate your homes features.

The use of colour, texture, tone and some practical changes have meant that it's no wonder you all love this one as much as we do!! 23.01.2022 Happy Monday!!!! Cheers to a productive week ahead! So whilst things are heating up as we are getting closer and closer to Christmas ! And we are loving working on all the amazing jobs we have.... it’s also school holidays as of Friday this week... which means I have both my kiddos at home as a lot of work from home/business owners will do as well. So things might not be as distraction free. Please be patient and if you’re in this boat... don’t feel the guilt for creating a work/life balance that works for you and your family.

22.01.2022 We love pushing the boundaries of what is expected, to achieve a truly unique and intentional outcome. See this mixer? Not only is it set at the 2 o'clock mark to add interest; it's actually a tap from the kitchen range! So you get the visual beauty of that exaggerated curve and tear drop mixer tap, along with the practical feature of a swivel spout when you need it! You might want to give the kids charcoal toothpaste though

20.01.2022 What is the purpose of your kitchen? Do you love cooking or loathe it? Are you a feast type of family or a snacks and nibbles one? Are you eating on the fly or sitting down as a family every meal? All these factors are important when designing your kitchen space. Whilst trying to factor all of them in you simply can’t (most of the time) have these conversations with your designer..... design your layout and functionality first then choose the look colours and finishes. We designed this island beach for conversations with nibbles and wine! Dinners for a small family when you don’t feel like setting the table. A space for platters and feasts with out the flys outdoors!!!

20.01.2022 If there is one reason to get some design advice, it would be to get the scale right! Push boundaries, think creatively, challenge the 'norm' or the 'expectation', and THAT is when you can achieve something truly amazing.

20.01.2022 If you install a gas cooking system, ensure the kitchen is designed with good natural ventilation. Consider your appliance early in the planning process as it has an effect on your BASIX rating.

19.01.2022 Not going to lie! Looking forward to some RnR over the weekend. Haven’t been away since November last year..... working from home during home schooling was epic.... and we haven’t stopped working on projects all year. When you love your job sure you are grateful but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t get exhausting! Throw in a 6 year old and a 14 year old with a debilitating chronic pain illness .... yep it’s hard work! ... I love my home too.... but working from home and having the studio from home means no escape .... 02.01.2022 Because we all love before and after photos!! ELDERSLIE PROJECT // this space has slowly been transforming during the past 12 months. It all kicked off with a total interior re-paint! We re-jigged a sliding door to make it user and room friendly (the one behind the lounge used to open in the centre, now it opens from the RHS creating a walk way behind the back of the lounge) we specified some new furniture and dressed it all with new lighting and soft wall to wall sheers

These custom doors though with my request of white organic rustic bamboo are just perfect though

01.01.2022 Herringbone tiles - they have been around for a while (they're done beautifully on the underground floor of the Colosseum - so herringbone is definitely not just a 'recent' thing!) - and just like any pattern or texture, when used intentionally and subtly repeated throughout a home, it can be just perfect.
