24.01.2022 Covid-19 post- The government announced last night stage 2 guidelines that restrict hairdressers to 30 minutes per client. Unfortunately, this means I can no longer offer colour services, only haircuts. These guidelines seem to be changing daily so, if you have a colour appointment prebooked I will be in touch with you the week prior to alter your appointment to fit into the current legislation.

23.01.2022 This lovely lady wanted to go darker but not too dark. We did a full head of blonde foils, melted a lowlight in between and a root stretch toner. Very happy with the result

11.01.2022 *** Covid-19 Attention Post*** I would like to keep all clients up to date. I am still open and it is business as usual. The good health of you, your family and mine is of upmost importance. I believe we need to be prepared, but not alarmed (steady on the loo paper ) ... I kindly ask that if you are showing any cold and flu symptoms, fevers or have been overseas in the last 3 weeks to reschedule your appointment ASAP, unless you have been cleared through Covid-19 testing or have isolated as per current health policies in place. For your piece of mind, you are welcome to wash your hands on arrival as well as when you leave and I will do the same. The hairdressing industry already has stringent cleaning and sterilising practices to prevent the cross contamination of disease and infection. I am cleaning and sanitising after each session. I am also a low volume business with only 2-4 clients through per day. Please note, as per current guidelines allowing 4sqm of space per person, this allows myself and two clients at a time. If you wish to bring a friend or family member to keep you company at your appointment, please let me know beforehand as your time slot may have to be adjusted in order to adhere to this guideline. Above all, remember this is a stressful time for everyone. Be careful to keep our elderly and vulnerable well and please support all our Townsville local businesses where possible. Melanie xx

I am also a low volume business with only a few clients through per day. I am closely following the 4 square meter rule per person which allows for 2 clients and myself in the salon. Can I kindly ask wherever possible that you do not bring anyone to your appointment to keep you company as this will exceed the square meter rule. If this is not possible, please let me know beforehand as your timeslot may have to be adjusted. Above all, I appreciate the support from each and every one of you.
