25.01.2022 Congratulations to our wonderful Year 12 students and teachers who succeeded on so many levels in 2018. Our inspirational Dux and College Captain, Isabelle Carney attained 99.8. Ten students attained an ATAR score of 99 or above, 18% of students a study score above 40, 31% of students attained an ATAR above 90, 54% above 80 and 72% above 70. Ten perfect study scores of 50 were attained in the following subjects: Business Management, Product Design, English, Health, Legal Studies, Literature, Media and Visual Communication Design. We are proud of every student no matter the ATAR. Persistence, lifelong learning and grit are what is most important. #lead #achieve

We are organizing a community information forum on Thursday 5th September in the library and we would welcome anyone with an interest to attend. 11.01.2022 MGC has seen sucess at the National Clubs Gymnastics Carnival on the Gold Goast - Overall club champion and second overall school champions!! 43 athletes flew to the Gold Coast to compete for four days of competition. This win is an amazing way to finish off such a strong season and a great reflection on all the hard work and dedication put into training! The team represented Melbourne Girls' College to the highest possible standard on a national scale, demonstrating how dedicated we are to this sport. Congratulations girls, you should be SO proud of yourselves!! #achieve

09.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week is a time for ALL Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements, and runs from the 27thof May until the 3rdof June, commemorating the referendum in 1967 and the High Court Mabo decision in 1992. On Monday the 27th MGC was proud to welcome our guest speaker, Tarina Fanning, who came and spoke to all Year 10 and Year 8 students yesterday morning about the importance of reconciliation. This years theme is Grounded in Truth, Walk Together with Courage.
