It was an absolute treat looking through everyones work, seeing studios, to see printmaking adventures solo and as a group! 01.01.2022 And just one more... '25 Cats Named Sam and One Blue Pussy', an artist book by Andy Warhol from the 1954 comprising of 18 hand-coloured offset lithographs and printed by Seymour Berlin. This was printed as a limited edition of 190, and nearly all copies were given as gifts to friends.

01.01.2022 We've got two sizes of the Korn's Liquid Tusche in stock. A greasy pigmented liquid that is used to create lithographic washes, the Korn's Liquid tusche can be used straight or diluted with water or turps to produce different effects. 22.12.2021 Staff Picks We wanted to share our favourite tools with you! Today we will sharing Pavel's top choices, in his words: 1. Charbonnel Carbon Black 60ml Tube: My personal favourite of the Charbonnel blacks. Subtle, yet strong, and not a neutral or dead black. Gives amazingly warm variation in printing. The tube is such an advantage and means no wastage.... 2. Blackwing Pencils: These amazing pencils are so versatile they can describe anything from the lightest air to the darkest lithographic depths of black. They are extra strong and do not crumble. And, in combination with the dedicated Blackwing Sharpener they can be made as sharp as an etching needle! A pleasure to hold. 3. Sennelier Soap Eraser: The most beautiful and self-sacrificing eraser. Won't damage even the most delicate of papers.

10.12.2021 Gamblin Relief Ink: Portland Intense Black Portland Intense Black is a deep, rich black with a cool undertone. It is formulated with an extremely heavy pigment load, yet remains soft; making printing easier and faster. If desired, the colour temperature may be adjusted by adding other inks, such as Sepia to add warmth, or Prussian Blue to cool it further. This ink is also a good one for monotype's - specifically for 'additive' or 'paint on' monotypes as it is softer than most etching inks and will transfer even the faintest of tones!

09.11.2021 Another new Isabey brush This Isabey 'Isaqua' Fan is an imitation sable option - springy and responsive, it's fibres are idea for highly precise watercolour painting. The Isaqua range is available in four different heads (Fan, Flat, Round and Long Round) with a range of different size options.

22.10.2021 We've got some new watercolour brushes in store and we are *impressed*. Pictured here is the Isabey Pure Kolinsky Sable, and honestly, it's incomparable. Ideal for precision and detailed work, the reddish gold bristles are resistant and responsive with excellent water retention.... (Excellent for hand-tinting prints!)

23.09.2021 Wenzel Waxed Linen Threads come with a needle and whilst they have many uses, amongst printmakers they make a perfect bookbinding thread. Extra strong and durable, the wax reduces friction and allows the thread to glide easily, whilst simultaneously holding tight when knotted. The Wenzel Waxed threads come in three colours Black, Natural/White and Brown and come in a 15m option with needle (pictured) or it can be purchased by the metre.

07.09.2021 We have a couple exciting new things waiting for you when our doors reopen - including a brand new range or Isabey brushes. With a delightful selection of mops, liners, rounds, flats, filberts, fans and ovals, these are amongst the finest brushes in the world. Isabey do not cut or trim the hairs in their brushes, instead the brush-heads are finely arranged into shape. This preserves the natural spring of the brush, and prolongs their shape!

31.08.2021 Did you know that in the 19th century deckled edges were seen as imperfections made during the paper making process? Deckle edges can reveal a lot about a paper, in particular the way in which it was made. Handmade papers will generally have 4 deckled edges, as each sheet is individually formed. Made with cylinder moulds, machined papers generally have two 'true' deckle edges, and either two straight edges or two pseudo-deckle edges!
