25.01.2022 Have you seen any of these ribbons on our fire trucks? We’ve placed them on all MFB trucks and appliances in remembrance of the four Victoria Police officers who lost their lives on the Eastern Freeway in April. It’s our way of honouring our emergency services colleagues, their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

24.01.2022 Here's a happy story for your Tuesday! This morning, MFB crews responded to a house fire in St Albans. While searching the house and attacking the fire, they found a dog near the rear of the property suffering from smoke inhalation. Firefighters rescued the eight-year old dog, named Jess, and gave her oxygen therapy. Fortunately, Jess has made a full recovery and is back in the care of her owner.

05.01.2022 Since 1891 MFB firefighters have proudly served the Victorian community. What started as a fire service that used horse-drawn fire carts to keep the community safe has evolved into an exemplary fire and rescue service, with highly skilled and dedicated firefighters, workshop employees, and corporate employees. We’ve responded alongside our emergency service partners to some of the biggest disasters in the state, advocated for changes to legislation to keep Victorians safe, a...nd have become part of the very fabric that makes up the Victorian community. MFB is steeped in 129 years of successes, milestones, partnerships and memories that won’t be forgotten. Things are changing but we look ahead to the bright future. Our commitment to Victorians hasn’t wavered and this will not change. The community can depend on us to be there when they need us most. We’re proud of MFB’s legacy and we look forward to the next chapter of firefighting in Victoria as Fire Rescue Victoria.
